matrixmann: Perceiving a grain of sand in the desert (I see with the eyes of a hunter)

Doesn't have to do with bad memories. I use scheduled entries.

It came to me after somebody got me a tip for what the kids find "cool" this year. Checked a few things out - and in the end, I must say, I thought already last year that this youth in taste and culture is like a pill for sleeping, but this year there's another little bit on top of that.
Now it seems to be "hip" to listen to House music with vocals and texts like German Schlager. Sometimes more that way as it is famous for, sometimes less, but kitschy and - you think about it "People, please get yourself somebody to write you an ordinary text! You're as bad as an retarded ape!" (Sorry, ape, for using you for that comparison!)
And even about the House music part of it, I think "you make me fall asleep" because no tempo, no interesting synth lines or baselines, no complicated drum stractures. It's just... soulless, mindless stuff that ought to get you cheering all day long although there is nothing to cheer about.
And by the time, I learned you can also play different stuff than this with a Virus TI. Stuff you can rather listen to without complaining too much about it.

I also sometimes complain about Trance in the old days, when they picked normal vocals for it that they could have also come up with a better text, a text saying something meaningful - that's why I still stick to the old Funker Vogt stuff, 'cause technically it's not very far away from Trance, but for once, it chooses lyrics that have a little more meaning behind -, especially I fight with myself in that department when it comes down to Hardstyle; if one wants to sound big, bad, loud and evil, you sure can pick better lyrics than just stiring up the crowd or thinking about below the belt, fucking some chick. Remember that text I wrote recently "Spit on your tomb".
I don't want every song to contain lyrics or vocals, that's the wrong way, but I found until now that there could have sometimes been done a better job. A cleverer job. When it came down to that topic.
