On personal note I may agree with you but the greatest humanists in history like Marx and Engels, for instance, always explained it by the conditions that people are put in. And this is true. It is hard to expect manners and royal behavior in the world where everyone struggles for survival. Daily. Sometimes you need to be an animal in order to survive. And even people drinking are explained by Marx very well: what else do they have in life? So, blame the system.
