Warum lässt sich in der Presse und in den sozialen Medien mittels Memes und Hastags über Männer hetzen, wie man es umgekehrt gegen Frauen, Ausländer oder Menschen anderer Hautfarbe als weiß auf keinen Fall öffentlich dürfte, ohne sich dafür eine Anzeige einzuhandeln?
Weil es nichts kostet. Der Preis, den diese Agitation kosten könnte, ist äußerst gering. Man bekommt keine Strafanzeige, es steht morgen kein Mob vor der Tür, der einen lynchen will, man wird auch nicht aus seiner Arbeitsstelle verdrängt oder gar gleich direkt gefeuert wegen untragbarem Verhalten (und Äußerungen, mit denen kein Unternehmen öffentlich in Verbindung gebracht werden will).
Schlichtweg: Es hat keine spürbaren Folgen. Keiner beschwert sich, keiner schlägt einen dafür, es nimmt einem auch keiner die finanzielle Grundlage des eigenen Lebens weg.
Es wird stillschweigend gebilligt.
Stillschweigend gebilligte ideologisch radikale Misanthropie gegen die eine Hälfte der Menschheit.
Dazu wird sie auch noch schöngeredet, indem, dass man den rhetorischen Trick anführt, diese Hälfte der Menschheit werde pausenlos von der anderen unterdrückt, ihrer Rechte beraubt, dürfte überhaupt gar nichts, und erfahre ausschließlich und als Alleinstellungsmerkmal pausenlos Gewalt verschiedenster Art, in allen Teilen der Erde, im reichen und wohlhabenden Westen gleichermaßen wie wo gesellschaftlich bitterste Armut herrscht; genauso gleichermaßen in Gegenden, wo man sich seine religiösen und andere Überzeugungen frei aussuchen darf ohne dass es Konsequenzen seitens des Staates oder seiner Organe gibt, wie in den Erdteilen, wo es eine verordnete Staatsreligion gibt und einer anderen zu folgen oder gar ungläubig (atheistisch) zu sein eine Straftat darstellt und gesellschaftliche Ausgrenzung herrscht, eventuell sogar begleitet mit Gewalt und Straffreiheit für diese für die Ausübenden.
- Ein “rhetorischer Trick” deshalb, weil es verkennt, welche Kämpfe die Vorfahrinnen in den wohlhabenden Erdteilen bereits geleistet haben, damit die Frauen der Gegenwart überhaupt das tun dürfen, was sie tun und wollen - darunter auch so menschenverachtend hetzen gegen die eine Hälfte der Menschheit.

“Düstere Zeiten” sind mittlerweile irgendwie auch so ein Totschlagargument der Neuzeit geworden, wenn jemandem irgendetwas unbequem ist... Ausdruck eines Zeitgeistes, der darin bestärkt, das eigene Ego überzubewerten.
Bedenke man es einmal für einen Augenblick - welche Bewertung stellt sich denn über diese “düsteren Zeiten” ein, wenn sie dauernd für jedes kleine Argument bemüht werden, wenn es darum geht, irgendetwas abzuwehren, was einem nicht gefällt zu hören? Sie verkommen. Verkommen zu etwas, was scheinbar weniger schlimm war - weil, wenn öfter jedes noch so schäbige oder verstimmte Individuum diesen Vergleich anführt, was für einen Beigeschmack bekommen sie dadurch?
Den selben schäbigen Beigeschmack wie die Individuen, denen nichts anderes einfällt. Die Übertreibung ihres Selbst, welches sie dadurch demonstrieren, sich den Vergleich mit diesen Zeiten anmaßen zu wollen.
Zudem, die Vergleichsobjekte lutschen aus. So wie irgendwann auch Hitler seinen Schrecken verliert, wenn beinahe jeder mit ihm verglichen wird.

In your own interest, trans folks: By taking transsexuality out of the corner of “disease” and making it an apparent lifestyle decision, as the scene lobby and social activism enforce it since the past few years, they also erase it from the catalogue of medical conditions which health insurance needs or has to assist you with.
Health insurance and what it pays for doesn’t exist for realizing castles in the sky or personal esthetics, it exists to pay for the crap you are or get sick with.
So with it “being no medical condition anymore”, what reason does the insurance have to pay for all the expensive physical modifications, operations and the lifelong hormones you have to take?

The same kind of people which told you that sexual preferences are inborn and not voluntarily changeable, so that’s why conversion therapies are nonsense, fraud and (should be) legitimately forbidden everywhere - the same kind of people, on the other hand, wants to make you believe that sex (as “gender”) is fake, is an illusion, something like an inborn mental sex that was already coined before a human’s birth doesn’t exist, and that fake is solely constructed and a product of social indoctrination, therefore can be changed, chosen and adopted at will...

Self-appointed “Progressives” sacrifice progress on the altar of their own cultural Puritanism

A smugly pharisaic cult that calls itself “progressive”, but which doesn’t have anything to do with the traditional left, and which even highly contradicts itself, so that it neither makes sense, nor does it firmly tell what it wants the world to turn into, goes viral during those years, trying to take over the public discourse and police everybody’s thoughts, everybody’s words, fill everybody’s sane feeling of “doing nothing wrong” arbitrarily with fear and shame of possibly doing the wrong with their every move (and that being the fault of their lives). It researches internet histories for just the smallest in violations of a mindset/ideology which barely anyone outside of its circles understands and supports.
They do that in order to be able to appeal to the mob to “hang the perpetrator higher”, much less like leftists, but more like just ordinary egomaniacs whose world circulates entirely around themselves and which can’t let anybody live anything else that they don’t understand or approve.
Meanwhile, even former allies don’t seem safe from that self-righteous method, once they take a single stance which the “cult” mob disapproves. Everything that they don’t agree with becomes a fatal lashing out against everyone to ruin their lives because they deem it “legitimate” to do so.

++ Announcement++ - Troubles with crossposting from DW to LJ (Nr. 2)

In case the word didn't spread to some - at the moment, Dreamwidth has problems with crossposting (again - if you remember a while ago), and this time it doesn't seem like this can be fixed too soon. LJs protection mechanisms constantly block the IP addresses of the DW crossposter because of alleged failures to login with a correct password.
So, the recent radio silence wasn't on purpose from my side.
In respect to this, I have to make a decision how I keep the order in my stuff - as the troubles have been on for about a week now and a solution doesn't seem in sight so far yet.
Because most of my readers and business are here (and most of those which are present on DW also have a residence here, but not necessarily vice versa), I'll keep it that way: Fresh posts go here, the DW pendants get generated via its "import content"-function ('cause strangely this works alright).

Seems like the crossposting from Dreamwidth to Livejournal is functional again...
Caught a few entries from other people a few days ago, tried my luck and it does again what it does usually (until now).
I don't know what they did or what was exactly the point that it didn't want to run - or if the matter is already a closed case; I'd rather tend to doubt that -; well, at least one can go back to normal.
Perhaps there may be one or the other discrepancy still to be expected in the coming weeks (I hope not), so be on the lookout.

Perhaps the word has already went around - Dreamwidth's crossposting feature currently has problems with Livejournal and doesn't work with that platform.
Responses in the support area speak that this is due to newly added servers, which were automatically blocked by LJ for security purposes, so it might take a few weeks until DW's developers and contributors have figured a solution to this problem to make things work like before again.

By the way, did anyone take notice that Facebook has now been known broadly for 10 years already?
Sure it's lasted longer than Myspace, after the time of the big hype... And sure this came less expected than it turned out in the reality. As all things that get hyped for some time eventually fall to dust again and get forgotten.
After all the privacy scandals and the revelations about collecting data (never really deleting something you posted), this is quite a bit of miracle - but, maybe, the key here more lies with "there is no alternative offering to theirs". If you wanna head off somewhere else and receive about the same supply, there is none. Nobody's managed to build up something else until today with about the same reach like them who doesn't have this as his behind-the-scenes business model.
So, unless they really make some decisive mistakes in their business policy, count on it being another decade with them. But this second decade you can put under a very strong screening, as making something last for 20 years in the internet really is a feat...

Nun dreht sich also das Personalkarussell wieder und der aktuelle Chef des Verfassungsschutzes wird abgesetzt...
Irgendwie wird man den Eindruck nicht los, als wenn es von Anfang an bloß darum ging.
Meldungen über vereitelte Anschläge, vorherige Verfehlungen und wahrscheinlich auch noch irgendwelche Dinge in der Vergangenheit (so wie es immer ist) - all das war kein Grund, den Typen vorher zu beanstanden. Nein.
Aber eine Äußerung über ein im Internet verbreitetes Video, die scheinbar in ihrer Bedeutung irgendjemandem nicht gepasst hat, dafür darf der Mann jetzt gehen!
Man muss nicht mal auf der Seite dieser Regierung und ihren anderen Personalien stehen, um das als das offensichtlichen "Kindergarten" zu bezeichnen.
Kam diese Regierung zwischendurch überhaupt mal schon zum regieren? Jede Woche wird irgendeine neue Sau durchs Dorf getrieben. Jede Woche darf sich irgendeiner vor der Presse zum Idioten machen, weil irgendwer auf Twitter seinen Tonfall oder seine Wortwahl nicht in Ordnung fand - oder weil derjenige es schlichtweg darauf angelegt hat, aber dann doch mit den Reaktionen darauf nicht umgehen kann (will!).
Und sollte es mal bei irgendeinem Thema ernsthaft um hetzerische Wortwahl gehen, die jedem Leser ins Auge springt (so z. B. wenn es um Russen oder die russische Regierung geht), dann nimmt jeder das billigend hin und es regt niemanden auf.
Es geht von einem Wind im Glas zum nächsten wegen eigentlich nichts...
Wenn so noch die kommende Jahre von Merkels (immer wahrscheinlicher werdende) letzter Amtszeit aussehen sollen - na dann, viel Spaß noch! Das ist nicht besser als in Übersee, wo man sich jede Woche über irgendetwas von einem Präsidenten Trump aufregt. "Gibt es nichts zum Aufregen, sehen wird doch einmal in Social Media nach, da finden wir garantiert was..." So kommt es einem vor. Man weiß schon nicht mehr, worüber man sich aufregen soll und womit man das Personalkarussell zum Drehen bringen soll. Also bläht man Sachen überproportional auf.
Erinnert sich eigentlich jemand noch an den Fall "Wulff"?
Wochen über Wochen neue Schlagzeilen und die Presse konnte nicht genug in die Tasten hauen, so viel wie sie geschrieben und in die anderen Medien in Umlauf gebracht haben!
Genau das gleiche Phänomen beobachtet man jetzt bei jedem wöchentlichen Mini-Skandal und allen, die keine eigentlich sind. Jede noch so kleine Erbse wird drei Mal ausgewertet, als wenn es hier um den Weltfrieden und nicht die Blödheit irgendwelcher fehlplatzierten Menschen ginge! Oder geht es das wohlmöglich doch?! Sagt Bescheid, wenn der Eindruck doch richtig ist.

You know something that's annoying every time it happens?
When you say something that rocked someone's boat and ultimately you just get banned for it right away. Completely leaving you without the possibility to respond "you took this all with your right half of the brain and with your locally-shaped cultural world view" and to point at the possibility that there can be other general mindsets out there under which you can interpret it.
This is so... Western internet outrage culture.
And no, I won't defend the Eastern Europeans against that or color them prettier.
Those have their other reasons why they snap at you quickly if they do.

You know something that can really make you desperate about the internet these days?
It has become so rare that you can talk to somebody about a topic from politics, social sciences or other humanities in a manner with the niveau that a normally educated person can have.
Mostly you run into activists or people which keep blogging excessively about one single topic and their view is as narrowed as a cat’s pupil in broad daylight. Also, the atmosphere is constantly a little aggressive and you keep feeling like you’re really stupid about that topic, although there might be not much reason to think so.
It’s... somehow a time episode and a development state of culture where those who consider themselves as “the fallen”, “the suppressed” or “the lesser heard voices” (be it that it factually is partly true or completely based on personal imagination) all draw back to their lonely islands, form groups of frustration and anger, and specialize themselves in the one and only topic which they see themselves disadvantaged in, additionally emphasizing all the time, to outsiders as well as in the group, what throws them into this state.
But, important thing that totally goes lost on them is: They lose the view about what happens left or right from them. What happens outside their established and closed group. What takes place outside of their narrow focus and their war for being not so disadvantaged anymore.
Even the more, they even tend to forget there are other people too which are disadvantaged, but through a totally different aspect. It would never come to mind for these to form alliances with those other underprivileged people in order to create something that erases this suppressed state from both of them, partly or completely (what is realistic to be turned into living conditions).
And that is what just makes it so frustrating...
Lonely islands taking a bath in their own frustration, each for itself, everyone thinks he’s the most suppressed and disadvantaged, and all through the while they even create the strangest personal views that all non-insiders can’t follow or even support anymore - ‘cause they’re so far from the reality that takes place and they even seem to make a step back again from the course of an advanced society.
Speaking: Everyone who doesn’t agree is part of the arch enemy. New input not allowed. Even if it is due, even if it has a grounded factual base, even if it might be correct. “Don’t you dare to disturb the purity of our belief! Leave us the hell alone, we want to keep grumbling in unity... ‘Cause grumbling is our everyday legitimation to be alive.” And the grumbling goes on and on for all eternity, never changing anything on the origins what makes those people grumble, and steadily keeping on being locked to the solution patterns the group suggests to overcome the problems. Never checking out if they still suit, if time didn’t overcome them, prove them wrong, or they were correct and not short-sighted in the first place.
In short: “All other people are dumb and we found the Holy Grail.”
