Um elf auf dem Busbahnhof - einer sitzt, lässt seine Rucksackdisco spielen und es ist an Textzeilen zu verstehen irgendwas mit “Titten springen”, der Reim darauf lautet etwa “alle Kameraden singen”.
Als wenn das noch nicht genug wäre, kommen später zwei weitere recht junge Menschen hinzu (eine männliche Stimme beklagt sich über juckende Eier), gesellen sich zu dem mit der spielenden Musik auf der Bank. Später kann man sich an Hand dessen ausrechen, dass Bier getrunken wurde (ohne es gesehen zu haben), weil das Klirren von Flaschen zu hören ist, die an Stein zerschellen.

Once there was a culture for living on the darker side of things outside of the Goth scene and specialized subcultures - what happened to that? What about that now? Do all really have to look happy and hide their depressions at home? Or have to dwell isolated and alone, each person for itself?
What happened to even mainstream media culture offering a space to the troubled souls - and bringing them all together from their various backgrounds? Demonstrating they are all linked, they have something in common, by the nature of how they feel and perceive things?
Or is the money that the depressed, suicidal creatures can give to the economy simply not enough anymore?

Learning the delight in complexity of structures?

Strange thing to see through the times: While once it was enough to hear songs lasting not longer than 3 or 4 minutes, now these days it can gladly take a standard time span of 6 to 7 minutes - songs even longer than that, if they're good and well-structured, are also very much appreciated.

Darf man sich 'mal über die aktuelle Hässlichkeit deutschsprachiger Musik beschweren?
Wenn es nicht gerade übermäßig kitschiger Schlager ist, der eigentlich nur den kommerziellen Ast von Dance-Music kopiert, dann existiert zur Zeit nur ein großes vor sich hin Gejammer, was als "Gesang" verkauft wird, obendrein geht es dabei um nichts von Bedeutung, nichts von wirklichem Inhalt, und die können nicht einmal einen einzigen vernünftigen Reim von sich geben. Ihre musikalische Begleitung dazu ist mindestens genauso trivial wie uninnovativ und wirkt, als wäre sie blind aus ein paar Sounds zusammengeschustert, manchmal hat sich vielleicht noch einer vom Anfängerkurs für Gitarre und Schlagzeug von der Musikschule dazwischen eingeschlichen.
Wenn bei der Mischung immer noch nichts herausgekommen ist, bei der man vor Hässlichkeit und Geschmacklosigkeit anfängt zuzuhören, weil es als ein störendes Umgebungsgeräusch bemerkt wird, wird dann noch zur Krönung der "Gesang" mit Vocoder ins Metallische verzerrt, damit die Geschmacklosigkeit entgültig perfekt ist.
Und jeder, der einen Hauch von Rhythmusgefühl oder Ästetik hat, denkt sich angesichts dieses Klangbildes: Welche Amateure hat man denn dort mit Instrumenten und Tonstudio-Equipment versorgt, damit sie ihre Talentlosigkeit auf die Menschheit loslassen können?!
Deutsche Sprache klang noch nie so hässlich - ach, eigentlich generell klangen Geräusche, die Menschen aus ihrer Kehle von sich geben, noch sie hässlich inszeniert...

VIVA macht zum Jahresende 2018 zu

...Den aufmerksamen Beobachter wundert es, dass es eigentlich noch so lange gedauert hat.
Seit einigen Jahren co-geschalten auf einem Sendeplatz mit dem Comedy Central Kanal sagt es doch schon länger, dass das Publikumsinteresse in der Form nicht mehr so gegeben ist. In etwa einen halben Tag Sendezeit macht diese Kombination für VIVA noch aus, manche Serien (American Dad, Family Guy) wurden sich abwechselnd in den Jahren seit dem sowieso schon geteilt (mal hat der eine sie im Programm gehabt, mal dann der andere wieder).

...You know, where you nerd activists for the internet and admonishers of data privacy have been missing?
Not where it was about bringing innovation into the living rooms and free education, not where it was about keeping snooping eyes out of you living room.
It's even more simple.
Where was your word as the internet was turned into a commercial field and a place of the same life seriousness like the real life?
Once it was a harbor for people who felt misunderstood, who had specialized interests and who didn't find anyone to talk to in the same situation so easily right around the corner living next to them. It was a place where people could meet anonymously and not be ashamed about every shit they think and put interest in - or where they needed to calculate that next day some S.W.A.T. team is gonna kick their door in because some dubious fucker didn't like their opinion or decided to act the "concerned citizen"!
Also, there weren't whole industries of lawyers which just live from telling people they violate some big corporation's copyright or they talk the wrong way about movie/game X!
You know where you would have been needed?
Just as this kind of Pandora's box started to be opened! As this resort was turned into a place of jealousy, hate and aggressive agitation!
'Cause when Pandora's box gets opened, you can never close it again. That's exactly what things have become in the reality...
Now all outcasts, misunderstood people and nerds have lost their place to be almost completely. "Almost" because, if you're unlucky, even in the most hidden place in the internet anyone finds you, reads you and sees the need to stop you from what you're doing!
Even all your software to become anonymous again doesn't revoke that process 'cause the race has already begun for long to get a hold of this. Just before it really got started and became a common thing.
...Tell everyone what you think you can do to give this back to them, to the people who wish and who need it - for the sake of creativity or their own sanity.

When an icon of one's suicidal youth commits suicide himself, then it's indeed an irony that life offers there.
But, thinking about it, what's it with a hero, where does this status end and where does he start to be only a human being again? With own problems, desires, flaws and personal weaknesses?
It's actually so very simple. So simple that one forgets about it when he looks up to someone.
Every hero that is like an icon to those with demons plaguing them inside, most often he fights some demons inside himself. Even when it's long past having your biggest battle with them, the fight goes on because, once developed, these demons never let you go again. Until the end of your life.
And so... it comes that even a hero might surrender them, although everyone of that kind of human logically knows it is nonsense to do so.
But sometimes you don't know how strong they are, how much a plague they are to the protagonist and how long he already kept fighting them - or how long he already kept running away from them.
It's tough to judge this from the outside - from the outside it's always a pretty easy job to do.
Much tougher it always is when judging it from the inside and taking note of one's abilities and capacities to overcome. How much he/she's caught up in the dependencies of his/her own life. And how much or less there's a way out of it what is plaguing someone.
In that point, even a hero is just a human...
And those things may press him to the wall until he's "about to break".

The hypocrisy of the rockers - bragging to create something of great importance and pretending this to the audience, but in fact it's the same every time they bring out a new album or go on tour. The same phrases, the same talking... Lyrics stay the same, music style stays the same - little variation.
Where is the great revolution you talk about? Seems like more trivial than there really is.
You produce the same kind of junkfood sound for the masses like all other empty hip popstars. You try to sell it as something else, but who listens carefully recognizes that it's always nearly the same like before. Not really much different than the rest of the commercialized circus...

Is there a different way to win a war than sending troops and artillery?
There is: Do it the subtle way. Destroy the infrastructure, by selling and privatizing, to let your opponent pay off debts that actually don't exist. Erase the ability to do self-catering with home-grown food, introduce the dependence on imports. Carry technology and patents out of the country. If human intelligentsia can't be lured away, make sure they can't make any profit out of their knowledge anymore - forbid them to work in their disciplines, declare graduations and diplomas to be invalid. Abolish law and order and take your sweet time to install yours as the new ones - to let chaos move in, and crime take hold. Additionally, send your own criminals in to fool the masses and to let the daily terror on the streets be perfect. Pump your own wares and goods into the newly acquired territory - to calm down the conquered masses and to make profit yourself; best even is if you let it be accompanied by advertising and propaganda how good it is, how grateful people can be to have it, meanwhile you can do the dirty work to strip them off their assets. While being at the assets: Rearrange the overall property situation. If the pattern makes sense or not, it doesn't matter - the confusion and the gain for your own fraction is the main objective.
At the end of it all, most importantly: Break the morale, the mindset of the people that you annex. Deconstruct the education system and build it anew. Let culture disappear to be never seen again. Kill the spirit of what made these people up! Make sure that way that you're going to be happy with your annexion for the coming decades - 'cause the resistance fades away with the people aging.

What would somebody say who died 10 years ago about the fuss that takes place today?
In politics as well as society as well as technology - how things in general developed during the last decade?
Would he think "the better that I have died, that's even worse than when I was still alive"?
Or would he say "I should have stayed, just to try to make a change in all these things"?
What about somebody who killed himself?
Would he be happy about his deed?
Would he scream in horror how the world has become, compared to 10 years ago?
What would his words be about Facebook, about streaming, about the current state the world is in - the economical crisis, the West's fight with Russia, the war in Syria, Libya, newly grown information sources that didn't exist back then?
Also, what would he say about culture, about current trends? About the rise of German Schlager, the dropping in the background of Hiphop, the rise of softened Electro House and the current remake mania in Hollywood?
What would he say if he heard that now it's a trend for the lost youth to travel to the Middle East and play "Call Of Duty" for real - voluntarily?

These days' youth gets the music it deserves. Uninspired, overly happy twenty-four seven, acting like the world's only a party, thinking there are no obstacles to come in the future - that's something only the rotten meat generation over thirty talks about -, and it's as lame to make you fall asleep - speed is an alien concept to it. While the musicians still manage to come up with a catchy tune, as much as that they're free from talent to deliver ambitious lyrics and an ordinary rhyme. So in the end, what they leave behind is an exceedingly kitschy tune with no message, nothing to dream about and nothing more of than what seems to be one of the negative kinds of ecstasy: The world is colored in rose, all is sunshine and happiness forever and for always, darkness is something that doesn't exist, not even in sound and it better shouldn't. Darkness is a cancer that should be erased ("it fucks up the good mood").
