The beginning of recession, no matter how much the "experts" want to deny it in front of everyone.
Economic decline becomes visible slowly but surely, but increasingly obvious.
Another year that shows an old world order and the domination of a certain empire and its lackeys comes to an end.
Needing more or less proto-fascist methods and means to cover it and keep itself up for some more time until all the "important" people have brought their belongings into safety, tells a lot about the state of those countries and "players" who behave like that. And there is only one conclusion to draw from it: Downfall.

Erneut die Idee vom Feuerwerksverbot aus privater Hand zu Silvester

Danke, liebe Kleingangster und Assis in den Großstädten, dass jetzt wieder ein genrerelles Feuerwerksverbot auf den Tisch kommt, nur weil ihr zu dumm und zu dreist seid, verantwortungsvoll und wie Erwachsene damit umzugehen!!
Am Ende wird es nämlich wieder so kommen wie immer - der gemeine Bürger gibt eine weitere Freiheit ab, im Glauben, das Versprechen von Sicherheit möge davon Realität werden, schließlich wird es aber doch nicht kommen, weil es solche Leute gibt wie euch, die wissen, wo sie sich ihr Spielzeug auch weiterhin besorgt kriegen, und die Politik ist wieder mal zu dumm, das in ihren Schädel hineinzukriegen - wenn nicht sogar, dass man es ihnen unterstellen möge, dass sie das auch gar nicht beabsichten, sondern dass es nur darum geht, der Bürger, der sich korrekt verhält und und an die Gesetze, darf mal wieder ein Stück weniger.
Weil Politik inzwischen damit ein Problem hat, dass der Bürger überhaupt noch was anderes darf, außer Beifall zu klatschen, der vorgeschriebenen Einheitsmeinung zu folgen und jeden Tag fleißig Geld anschaffen zu gehen wie die Nutten auf dem Strich.
(Anbei, wer sich hat von der Medienhysterie um die "Kugelbomben" vereinnahmen lassen: Das Zeug ist keine illegale Hexenmagie, sondern Profifeuerwerk, was sonst üblicherweise in die Höhe geschossen wird. In mehreren hundert Metern Luft und von nichts weiter umgeben als solcher richten sie keinen Schaden an - wer schon mal bei Feuerwerk bei Veranstaltungen laute Kanonenschläge gehört hat, recht wahrscheinlich wird das genau so eine gewesen sein, weil das eine typische Geräuschkulise von ihnen ist. - Solches Profifeurwerk gehört natürlich nicht in die Fußgängerzone oder in die Hände von irgendwelchen Vagabunden und Kleingangstern, die es "lustig" finden, ihr Viertel damit zu terrorisieren und in ein Schlachtfeld zu verwandeln, dass dem Einschlag von Kriegsmunition danach in nichts nachsteht. - Wenn solche Feuerwerkskörper es in die Hände von Amateuren und Kriminellen schaffen, sollte man weniger die Frage nach einem Verbot von allem privaten Feuerwerk stellen, sondern wo bekommen diese Figuren diese her - und ist man mittlerweile schon längst nicht mehr Herr seiner Unterwelt in den größeren Städten. Können die, die sich daneben benehmen und an keine Regeln außer ihren eigenen halten wollen, mittlerweile dort machen, was sie wollen, es interessiert keinen und es hält sie auch keiner auf? Oder beim Aufhalten - stehen diejenigen, die das auch von Gesetzes wegen machen wollten, ziemlich allein und schutzlos dabei da, sodass sie es aus eigener Bedrohungslage nicht machen?)

Waldbrände in Südeuropa

Wenn das, was man bis jetzt - insbesondere in diesem Jahr - gesehen hat, schrecklich und kaum handzuhaben findet, dann warte man mal ab, wenn der CO₂-Austoß aus den Jahren, als die Smartphones auf den Markt kamen, in der Atmosphäre herumgezogen sind und ihre volle Wirkung entfalten (was, laut Angaben, ca. 15 Jahre dauert)...
Da in diesen besagten Jahren die kurzlebige Verschwendung von Ressourcen nämlich erst richtig anfing.
Inklusive der Ausbau des globalen Internets zum Zwecke seiner endgültigen Kommerzialisierung stattfand. (Viele Rechenzentren und Festplatten, die rund um die Uhr laufen, nur damit Leute jederzeit irgendwelche Inhalte abrufen können...)

Warum die Bahn nicht kommt

Wenn sich jemand fragt, warum die Bahn als Massentransportmittel, in einer Zeit, in dem aus Gründen der Reduktion von Emissionen, die durch den Transport von Menschen und Gütern verursacht werden, die Rolle eben solcher wieder in den Mitelpunkt rückt (es jedenfalls sollte), so schlecht aufgestellt ist - man werfe dafür einen Blick zurück in die Vergangenheit.
Man erinnere sich an die Mehdorn-Jahre (Ende 1999-2009), in denen die Bahn radikal kaputtgespart wurde, und man erinnere sich an das größenwahnsinnige Ziel, die Deutsche Bahn an die Börse bringen zu wollen.

Jugendgewalt, die 2020er Edition

Da es aktuell mal wieder aufkommt, weil es einige medienwirksame Fälle gibt...
Offen und ehrlich: Spart euch die Tränen, euer öffentliches Herumgeheule und das betonte Entsetzen!
Eigentlich müsste man euch den Vorwurf des Laientheaters machen.
Warum?
Diese Art von Gewalt, dass Pubertierende gegen Gleichaltrige gewalttätig werden und es fröhlich filmen um sich später daran zu ergötzen und es über das Internet oder den Schulhof zu teilen, die gab es schon vor 10 Jahren und noch länger her. Die technischen Möglichkeiten, mit dem Handy zu filmen und zu fotografieren, gibt es nämlich schon so lang - sogar noch bevor Smartphones auf den Markt kamen. Seit ca. 15+ Jahren.
Und letztlich - davor wurden die Taten einfach nur nicht mit Bild und Ton dokumentiert. Geschehen sind sie aber trotzdem.
Was denkt ihr, warum Schüler einst an ihrer Schule Amok liefen? Jugendliche anderen Jugendlichen nach dem Leben getrachtet haben?
Etwa, weil "alles in Ordnung" war?

Liquefied petroleum gas from the United States - and what about climate change?

Any party going through with either their plans or already having banned imports of Russian oil and gas and replacing it with liquefied petroleum gas from the US - offically call their agenda to "fight climate change" broke and dishonest (if it ever even officially existed at all).
Because transporting LPG with tankers over half of the globe, burning fuel to deliver fuel, there's nothing more harmful to the world climate than this in this aspect of the economy and regarding general supply with common contemporary energy carriers.
Not even talking about needing to make the energy-intensive efforts to first liquefy the gas to transport it and then turn it into gas again, sacrificing additional amounts of energy, when it's reached its destination. And the terminals that have to be specifically created and built in order to execute both jobs.

Ein sehr böser Gedanke, der mir kam:
Beim Hochwasser am Rhein können alle eigentlich noch “froh” sein (so makaber es sich anhört), dass nicht dazwischen ein noch laufendes oder ehemaliges Atomkraftwerk von den Überschwemmungen getroffen wurde (so viele wie in der Nähe von diesem Fluss nämlich situiert sind)...
Das wäre nämlich nicht besser gelaufen als in Fukishima.

Letzte Woche kam Söder, jetzt kommt Königin Schwesig - warum machen eigentlich nicht alle Bundesländer demnächst, was sie wollen?!
Je weiter die Daumenschrauben ohne Sinn und Verstand angezogen werden, desto mehr wird sich Querdenken im Frühling freuen über so viel neuen Zulauf - nicht, weil die Leute nicht an Corona glauben oder den Ballweg so toll finden, sondern weil sie von dem ständigen Hin und Her und der Drangsaliererei der Länderchefs (ohne ihr Parlament!) gründlich die Schnauze voll haben!!
Statt ständig neuer Maßnahmen und Verschärfungen (Haben wirklich alle Deutsche einen Fetisch mit "Härte", dass das rhetorisch ständig so betont werden muss?! Erzählt doch nichts!!), wie wäre es denn mal, wenn ihr endlich mit eurem Impfstoff auf dem Mustopf kommt?!
Wochen- und monatelang wurde vom Heiland geschwärmt und die Erlösung versprochen - jetzt ist sie da und ihr Schnarchnasen vermasselt es, euch rechtzeitig Impfdosen vorzubestellen!!
Bei dem Tempo, was Deutschland bei seinem Impfprogramm an den Tag legt, da ist man ja in Jahren noch nicht fertig! Selbst die Schneckenpost ist schneller!!

Die kritische Sache mit dem Sympathisieren oder gar Teilnehmen an einer politischen Bewegung ist die: Irgendwann beginnt man als Direkt-Involvierter sowohl Größe als auch Wirkkraft und Wahrheitsgehalt des eigenen Lagers zu überschätzen.
Da gibt es plötzlich überall Menschen, die denunziert werden, weil sie sich mit der von einem selbst unterstützten Bewegung offen solidarisch erklärt haben oder auch nur irgendwas aus deren Strauß an Thesen geäußert haben. Da gibt es plötzlich Leute, die genau nur wegen ihrer Meinung eingesperrt oder in die Psychiatrie eingewiesen wurden - nicht etwa, weil sie schon zuvor vielleicht irgendetwas ungesundes in ihrem Kopf am Laufen hatten, was eventuell für sie oder auch andere hätte gefährlich werden können; oder weil sie schon zuvor in dubios anmutende Machenschaften verstrickt gewesen sind und nur keiner was dazu gesagt hat.

Self-appointed “Progressives” sacrifice progress on the altar of their own cultural Puritanism

A smugly pharisaic cult that calls itself “progressive”, but which doesn’t have anything to do with the traditional left, and which even highly contradicts itself, so that it neither makes sense, nor does it firmly tell what it wants the world to turn into, goes viral during those years, trying to take over the public discourse and police everybody’s thoughts, everybody’s words, fill everybody’s sane feeling of “doing nothing wrong” arbitrarily with fear and shame of possibly doing the wrong with their every move (and that being the fault of their lives). It researches internet histories for just the smallest in violations of a mindset/ideology which barely anyone outside of its circles understands and supports.
They do that in order to be able to appeal to the mob to “hang the perpetrator higher”, much less like leftists, but more like just ordinary egomaniacs whose world circulates entirely around themselves and which can’t let anybody live anything else that they don’t understand or approve.
Meanwhile, even former allies don’t seem safe from that self-righteous method, once they take a single stance which the “cult” mob disapproves. Everything that they don’t agree with becomes a fatal lashing out against everyone to ruin their lives because they deem it “legitimate” to do so.

The one big mistake that Identity Politics (short: ID politics) and the principle of Intersectionality are based upon is: Them assume a group identity of people according to a certain body feature (e. g. skin color, sex, physical disability) or personality feature (e. g. religion, sexual orientation, nationality, cultural origin, political stance, mental handicaps), but which don’t exist in this collective manner as the two want to make believe. Even lesser if it comes to the judgment of moral and humanly virtuous behavior, for which the different valuations of identities of ID politics want to lay down the foundation of how somebody and his deeds should be rated.

Die sichere Blase (Kommentar)

Einige Wochen nun schon wohnt man dem Treiben um Corona als Zaungast bei - und mittlerweile weiß man nicht, wessen Verhalten und Denken man schlimmer wiegen soll: Das der Regierung, die nur die Wiedereröffnung ihrer Wirtschaft im Kopf hat, die sich mit dem Maskenball und einer eventuellen Corona-App das nicht in Stein gemeißelte Szenario per Placebo schönredet - oder das der Bürger, die sich in ihrer Bewegungsfreiheit so gekränkt fühlen, dass sie dafür während einer noch nicht abgeschlossenen Pandemie auf die Straße gehen (wobei ein Teil von ihnen auf alle Vorsichtsmaßnahmen scheißt und die Schuld auf andere schiebt, die sich angeblich einhellig gegen die übrige Welt verschworen haben).

++ Announcement++ - Troubles with crossposting from DW to LJ (Nr. 2)

In case the word didn't spread to some - at the moment, Dreamwidth has problems with crossposting (again - if you remember a while ago), and this time it doesn't seem like this can be fixed too soon. LJs protection mechanisms constantly block the IP addresses of the DW crossposter because of alleged failures to login with a correct password.
So, the recent radio silence wasn't on purpose from my side.
In respect to this, I have to make a decision how I keep the order in my stuff - as the troubles have been on for about a week now and a solution doesn't seem in sight so far yet.
Because most of my readers and business are here (and most of those which are present on DW also have a residence here, but not necessarily vice versa), I'll keep it that way: Fresh posts go here, the DW pendants get generated via its "import content"-function ('cause strangely this works alright).

Etwas lustiges geht diesen Abend vor sich: In Vodafone's Angebot an Kabelfernsehen ist auf dem SD-Kanal von der ARD RT International draufgeschalten.
(Normalerweise ist der erst im Paket "Vodafone Basic TV Cable" enthalten - wird also verschlüsselt ausgestrahlt und man muss ein entsprechendes Senderpaket dazubuchen.)

Seems like the crossposting from Dreamwidth to Livejournal is functional again...
Caught a few entries from other people a few days ago, tried my luck and it does again what it does usually (until now).
I don't know what they did or what was exactly the point that it didn't want to run - or if the matter is already a closed case; I'd rather tend to doubt that -; well, at least one can go back to normal.
Perhaps there may be one or the other discrepancy still to be expected in the coming weeks (I hope not), so be on the lookout.

Perhaps the word has already went around - Dreamwidth's crossposting feature currently has problems with Livejournal and doesn't work with that platform.
Responses in the support area speak that this is due to newly added servers, which were automatically blocked by LJ for security purposes, so it might take a few weeks until DW's developers and contributors have figured a solution to this problem to make things work like before again.

The unexceptional truth

"Wanting to protect the world climate, you have to face one important fact: Economic growth (in the Western world) still and trying to only stop the man-made destruction of nature are two things which don't fit together. They're paths running into opposite directions.
To really turn back the cogs of time in order to spare yourself and future generations the worst means you have to go back towards the living standard of the 70s of the wealthy nations and the world population has to halve at least, if you want every human to have the same wealthy living standard. Nothing going in there anymore with "I want my lovely two kids per relationship" - NO! To say it really evil: At best you even die before you get 40, and at best you didn't leave behind a child until then.
That's how drastic it is.
And the healthier people want to be personally, the less people can walk on earth enjoying it as their lifestyle.
You ask why the animals die out and keep disappearing? Think for a minute: Who conquered the living space that was taken away from them? Who occupies the space they lived in before? Seven and a half billion answers are walking out there. Human species took that territory, spreading like a virus. Where humans live, barely other animals live in anymore.
So... you get it what even more "growth" would mean for the environment, for the nature of this planet?"

Climate strike

Well, what is one supposed to think about that?
Somehow you get the impression like another one of those useless actions humans do, thinking their sit-ins, their stopping to live, their praying and singing stupid songs may impress the Gods to have mercy on them - all while there actually should be to learn that this pilgrimaging to a certain place won't till their fields, won't build them cars or cell-phones or anything else of their dearly-enjoyed modern life that they take as so damn self-evident.
In other words: Boys and girls from schools in the (Western) civilization - if you really want to do anything to help easing the climate disaster, stop quitting school, better go and get quitting wanting a new smartphone for every Christmas or birthday. Better even stop using them completely.
Stop purchasing a new wardrobe just for optical reasons. Stop going vegan for hysteria or hipster reasons - the soy for your meat-replacement products comes from Brazil too, getting shipped over a big ocean.
You really think that using the "angry child wants to get its will and screamingly throws itself upon the floor"-tactics are going to get you anywhere?
Kids, just get real: It really takes to bend over backwards in order to stop the world from spinning for a single second.
And, judging from your ages, there really is to doubt if you actually still care about the subject you make a fuzz about now after a couple of years...
