Do they broadcast James Bond movies internationally as much as they do in German TV at times?
Judging from the amount of frequency, one comes to pity that man... Because he must be the most overworked agent of a secret service around the world. Under real life circumstances, he’d have to have a burnout by now, on top several other mental diseases and an addiction to alcohol, if not that he had already tried to kill himself several times in order to get out of this sick shit of a Groundhog Day cycle.

Trash in the past, trash still today

That feeling when watching anything on TV and having to see the tons of advertising in commercial breaks and finding that they’re an accumulation of trash for the mind, designed with lots of distracting bright colors that call for your attention and empty suggestive messages, even direct unrealistic bullshit content (take the whole cosmetics and “body care” sector as an example for that) - will this ever end?

It is as it has always been: If some figure with a popular name and/or executive power in its hands shows up in TV or other mainstream mass media presenting a story with an emotionally heavily loaded tone, it's time to get skeptic.
'Cause never has this story that the person comes up with truly been as it is presented.

Etwas lustiges geht diesen Abend vor sich: In Vodafone's Angebot an Kabelfernsehen ist auf dem SD-Kanal von der ARD RT International draufgeschalten.
(Normalerweise ist der erst im Paket "Vodafone Basic TV Cable" enthalten - wird also verschlüsselt ausgestrahlt und man muss ein entsprechendes Senderpaket dazubuchen.)

Once there was a culture for living on the darker side of things outside of the Goth scene and specialized subcultures - what happened to that? What about that now? Do all really have to look happy and hide their depressions at home? Or have to dwell isolated and alone, each person for itself?
What happened to even mainstream media culture offering a space to the troubled souls - and bringing them all together from their various backgrounds? Demonstrating they are all linked, they have something in common, by the nature of how they feel and perceive things?
Or is the money that the depressed, suicidal creatures can give to the economy simply not enough anymore?

Kalkofe's Mattscheibe ist immer wieder einen Blick wert. Weniger wegen seinen Parodien, denn die sind nun mal Geschmackssache, vielmehr aber wegen der Original-Ausschnitte aus den Sendungen - weil man sich darüber stichprobenartig einen ganz guten Überblick darüber verschaffen kann, was man sich alles erspart, wenn man dem kommerziellen Massen-Entertainment den Rücken zugewendet hat.
Was heutzutage alles als "Entertainment" gelten darf, sei es nun aus dem Fernsehen oder von YouTube genommen, es ist die größte Beleidigung für den Verstand... Man spürt regelrecht wie die einzelnen Hirnzellen nacheinander absterben, wenn man bei diesem Käse länger zusieht.
Verwunderlich daran obendrein, dass dafür überhaupt noch Geld ausgegeben wird, um diese Originalsendungen zu produzieren. Aber wahrscheinlich ist dieser Mist am laufenden Band schon das Billigste, was man haben kann, um dazwischen noch ein paar Werbespots zu senden.
Im Falle der YouTube Videos kann man es noch weniger verstehen, denn das Internet ist noch voller von anderen Angeboten als das Fernsehen, um sich zu unterhalten, und trotzdem scheint der grenzdebile Schwachsinn auf seine nötigen Klickzahlen zu kommen, sodass er weiterhin von den Betreibern und Sponsoren am Leben erhalten wird.

Die etablierten Medien zeigen sich in diesen Tagen wieder einmal von ihrer "allerbesten" Seite... Eine Rettung von Kindern aus einer Höhle in Thailand wird wieder mal ausgeschlachtet bis auf jeden Krümel, dass die Schwarte kracht (ist diese Floskel neuerdings eventuell beleigend gegen Schweine?). Und wenn es nichts neues an Fakten zu erzählen gibt, dann fängt man zwischendurch mit der Kaffeesatzleserei an und spekuliert sich Löcher in die Luft.

VIVA macht zum Jahresende 2018 zu

...Den aufmerksamen Beobachter wundert es, dass es eigentlich noch so lange gedauert hat.
Seit einigen Jahren co-geschalten auf einem Sendeplatz mit dem Comedy Central Kanal sagt es doch schon länger, dass das Publikumsinteresse in der Form nicht mehr so gegeben ist. In etwa einen halben Tag Sendezeit macht diese Kombination für VIVA noch aus, manche Serien (American Dad, Family Guy) wurden sich abwechselnd in den Jahren seit dem sowieso schon geteilt (mal hat der eine sie im Programm gehabt, mal dann der andere wieder).

Sagt, hat Tatort jemals in seiner Geschichte irgendein Thema vorgelegt, dass nicht auf der tagespolitischen Agenda stand, aber unbedingt auf den Tisch gebracht werden musste?
War Tatort jemals etwas anderes als das filmische Sprachrohr der Meinung der Regierung, nach Außen hin verkauft als Abendunterhaltung zur besten Sendezeit - genauso steril gehalten von unliebsamem wie man auch versucht, Debatten steril zu halten?

Is there a different way to win a war than sending troops and artillery?
There is: Do it the subtle way. Destroy the infrastructure, by selling and privatizing, to let your opponent pay off debts that actually don't exist. Erase the ability to do self-catering with home-grown food, introduce the dependence on imports. Carry technology and patents out of the country. If human intelligentsia can't be lured away, make sure they can't make any profit out of their knowledge anymore - forbid them to work in their disciplines, declare graduations and diplomas to be invalid. Abolish law and order and take your sweet time to install yours as the new ones - to let chaos move in, and crime take hold. Additionally, send your own criminals in to fool the masses and to let the daily terror on the streets be perfect. Pump your own wares and goods into the newly acquired territory - to calm down the conquered masses and to make profit yourself; best even is if you let it be accompanied by advertising and propaganda how good it is, how grateful people can be to have it, meanwhile you can do the dirty work to strip them off their assets. While being at the assets: Rearrange the overall property situation. If the pattern makes sense or not, it doesn't matter - the confusion and the gain for your own fraction is the main objective.
At the end of it all, most importantly: Break the morale, the mindset of the people that you annex. Deconstruct the education system and build it anew. Let culture disappear to be never seen again. Kill the spirit of what made these people up! Make sure that way that you're going to be happy with your annexion for the coming decades - 'cause the resistance fades away with the people aging.

Whenever you keep seeing those big presentations and advertising of soccer events, you get the impression like the vision of a lot of dystopic SciFi authors or movie makers has come true: Shiny and glittering shows for the masses. Superstars to cheer at, heroes to believe in - and in the end, they're all created by some moguls that are kings of the mass media. For the purpose: To direct the view of the common people, to distract them or to get their looks to pay attention to the mass event presented which is not very much different from letting gladiators fight over their lives. They shall yell for their lives, think about nothing else except for that it's been a nice relief from everyday hard work or how they can become gladiators themselves, which they get shown in a way to perceive they're all paid with millions and a carefree life, everything to want and everything to look up at. And, what are they behind the curtains? Not the smartest, not the most moral, not the most honest - just a bunch of tragic figures which fulfill their task, but they're destined to realize only once they become too old to go on with that. Then the nature of their physical plague until that moment becomes obvious even to them.
But until then, new gladiators are found to take their places. And the masses go on yelling... Like, one or the other name, it doesn't matter. It's just some soccer players running for the amusement of some common people. Which somebody intended it for that it shall be this way.

Schon vor mehr als 5 Jahren, als das mit Horst Schlämmer war und dem dazugehören Film, deutete sich das unweigerlich schon an, dass ein Teil der wahlmündigen Bevölkerung die Schnauze voll von der großen Politik hat, weil sie nicht im Interesse der Bürger agiert, und bereit dazu wäre, jegliche Form von "Alternative" zu wählen, die nur anders wäre als die Etablierten. Damals war diese Sache noch ein Spaß, heute ist sie mit der AfD harte Realität. - Und damals wie heute wurde nichts dazugelernt.

What would somebody say who died 10 years ago about the fuss that takes place today?
In politics as well as society as well as technology - how things in general developed during the last decade?
Would he think "the better that I have died, that's even worse than when I was still alive"?
Or would he say "I should have stayed, just to try to make a change in all these things"?
What about somebody who killed himself?
Would he be happy about his deed?
Would he scream in horror how the world has become, compared to 10 years ago?
What would his words be about Facebook, about streaming, about the current state the world is in - the economical crisis, the West's fight with Russia, the war in Syria, Libya, newly grown information sources that didn't exist back then?
Also, what would he say about culture, about current trends? About the rise of German Schlager, the dropping in the background of Hiphop, the rise of softened Electro House and the current remake mania in Hollywood?
What would he say if he heard that now it's a trend for the lost youth to travel to the Middle East and play "Call Of Duty" for real - voluntarily?

What always recurringly gives you a question about this is: How can journalists, newscaster and so on still join in the propaganda choir, although facts already speak, oozing out of every crack, that it can't be kept up anymore what they're telling? Why do they, even in the dawn of their downfall, still stick to the song they've sung for years, for decades? Because it's their job? Because they have dependants to feed and a flat to pay? Because they truly believe in what they're saying?!
This kind of journalist can only do what they do because they're in a safe place. They think like war's not goint to come to them. And even if it should do so for once, they run like rats leaving the sinking ship. Off to somewhere far, far away where they think nobody can grab them. Where nobody knows who they truly are and what they've done before. Acting the innocent and starting the new life that everyone else liked to have in the ruins they stand in because of the continuous babbling of these people.
You don't need to take out some Nazi propagandists just to find horrible blindness towards real circumstances. Look around and see, in a subtle way narrow-mindeds like these which cause thousands of deaths for nothing exist today, too. And as well as then, they're paid very well for the work they're doing - compared to the people which later must pay for the errors they made.
They can only hope that the friends they allegedly have later also are willing take them out of the shit if things should turn head over heels...

Deutsche Kultur - welche deutsche Kultur? Etwa die amerikanischen Fernsehserien, die du dir ansiehst?
Die amerikanische Musik, die du dir anhörst? Oder die amerikanischen Markenprodukte, die du konsumierst?
Schreist "Rettung der deutschen Kultur" und regst dich nicht einmal über die letzte Rechtschreibreform auf. Oder dass außer Krimis und Telenovelas nichts ursprünglich deutsches mehr im Fernsehen läuft.
Kennst wahrscheinlich nicht einmal die letzten zwei Bundespräsidenten vor dem aktuellen Amtsinhaber.
Wenn jemand das Wort "Schiller" erwähnt, dann winkst du ab und liest doch lieber deine Mangas.
Statt dich bei deinem lokalen Radiosender zu beschweren, dass außer deutschem Schlager keine deutschsprachige Musik gespielt wird, schwenkst du lieber deine Fahne und erzählst von großem Partriotismus und wie sehr du Deutschland liebst. Beschwörst große Formeln und Zaubersprüche wie wichtig es dir ist, und letztes Jahr war es das noch nicht. Wenn dein Land dich zum Kriegsdienst rufen würde, würdest du dich noch als erster im Keller verstecken.
Weißt du wie man das nennt? Das ist nicht besser wie die, die ihre Fahne zu einer Fußball-WM entdecken.
Aus dem Alter für solche Spielchen wächst man heraus, spätestens wenn man Anfang zwanzig wird.
Nur für Jugendliche ist es wichtig, zu einer Gruppe dazu zu gehören, dass sie dafür alles tun würden.
Bevor du große Sprüche klopfst, fang an, dich um Dinge zu kümmern, die du ohne das Schwert lösen kannst. Wenn dir das zu langweilig ist, dann war es wohl nichts mit der Wichtigkeit.
Sie war nur ein Filter auf deinem Objektiv.

In the beginning, we just wanted to create art to keep the people entertained and to teach them a lesson about life once in a while. Our actors wore masks and for the names of our play writers, we used pseudonyms, so that no-one on street could recognize them by their looks and recognize them by their names being called out. It was a nessecary protection to all our people involved because the vice squads didn't always like what we displayed. It also was nessecary to ensure that only the message is being heard, only the play gets the regards.
But some time, this all changed. Actors suddenly got up on stage showing their true faces, revealing their names and making sure everyone knew them in town. They were selfish and craved for admiration. They... took great care of that people thought they were above them. Being worth more than all the regular folks.
From then, the writers started to do the same. They tried to be on everyone's lips, entering competition with the actors that stand on the stage.
With the fight for the attention also the fight for the payment arose.
Everyone has thought that only his task is being important for the play.
They started to despise each other.
And by despising, the quality of the performance also decreased.
The message was more silent than ever. More silent than repression, exclusion and every kind of state violence could ever make it. All just by mere competition and sophomoric.
Albeit this point in time seems to mark it, humans, in the East as well as in the West, as well as in the North and as well as in the South, worship the people that climb a stage and see them as a hero, much more than people that actually are heroes. They call their names and cheer whenever they see them, they want devotional objects and autographs and sometimes be with them for a night. Or even worse: Be with them for their entire life.
The actors themselves, as well as all others which show their art on stage, pride themselves on the show that they present, regardless of the content, if they bring something useful to the audience, reckless about the people which make happen that they have anything to present at all.
People, like then, assume they're above it all and not even death is something that could reach them.
They act like they never age and everything forever is going to stay the same.
They engage in admiration and monuments, like they sort of saved the world.
Like our actors, they think they're invincible and everything should just be about adoring them all over the day.
