At least I find... If for males who got beaten up and abused as infants and kids by their mothers, the topic is quite tabooed. Because of all the "but it's your mother!"-shit.
The world that Western-socialized people paint to me often seems like a mixture of clichés, whitewashing in certain aspects and doom&gloom in others. And the latter two a lot in the wrong subjects. E. g. like multiculturalism that ends up in parallel socities, but still they don't want to see them.
