The women of today, the feminists, always talk of "rights." Magda Goebbels talked of responsibilities. I like the latter better.

The feminists of the present day are just nuts. Despite claiming to be "underprivileged" and "suppressed", they exactly know how power works and how to make it work in their favor.

Due to being raised with an East German/post-GDR mindset, I keep reminding and telling against walls that it doesn't require feminism to fight for womens' rights. That the two are exactly two separate subjects.
But Westerners never seem to understand because they're so occupied by the cloud of their socioculture - where both can't do without the other, or better say: No-one ever dared to question if they're truly su dependent on the existence of each other.
For example, if you can't have the fight for womens' rights, but without all the loud shouting that aims below the belt or early hate speech.

There was a woman in the newspaper here saying that she's not going to the "Womens" march because the rights that they are demanding they already have.

"We will not stop until women are free of violence!"
Good luck with that one! We are ALL subject to violence. That is nature. Might as well march for the sun to stop rising.

It's all just more division-making.

Yes, this is definitely a point that is like "What do you still want for Christmas?".
Violence doesn't "recruit" female victims exclusively.
In fact - what about the daily violence from some men against other men that seems so self-evident that no-one talks about it even more? What about the criminal business that is responsible for a lot of that?
Once there were times where people actually tried to fight it to make everyone feel safe at night when wanting to go home...

If any movement or person in human history would have made it to stop violence from happening in general, be sure that anyone had already heard about them...

...You know, this all makes it seem like the twisted view of people which have already grown up completely in a safe bubble. And now they're shocked to find that their safe bubble and their sweet life where you just have to place your butt into the pre-built nest isn't the natural state of things.

Like when a pampered child starts screaming "Why the heck do I have to do anything for how I (want to) live? It also worked before with me just only taking things!".

Working as a volunteer psychotherapist at a community mental health clinic in a very bad area of Mexico City for many years, the problem of women being violent towards their male partners was much more prevalent than the reverse. Which is not the preferred narrative and seldom gets reported to authorities...because, especially in Mexican culture, the men would be seen as weak pussies.

Well... Is it so different here with males who get beaten up by women? (Okay, I know in Western societies the taboo isn't as bad as in 2nd world countries where social hierarchies are still way more firm and where it's way more a problem if you can't fit them.)

At least I find... If for males who got beaten up and abused as infants and kids by their mothers, the topic is quite tabooed. Because of all the "but it's your mother!"-shit.

The world that Western-socialized people paint to me often seems like a mixture of clichés, whitewashing in certain aspects and doom&gloom in others. And the latter two a lot in the wrong subjects. E. g. like multiculturalism that ends up in parallel socities, but still they don't want to see them.

Wow! I thought, being a good Socialist born in the DDR, you would know all about this stuff. :) Perhaps you are too young. My East German and Russian friends are all around my age...50s. We share a lot of bullshit together. This is also why Landser is fucking GOLD!!! We are of that generation. We were told the same lies, given the same false hopes. I know the Landser guys. We are buddies.

You put your finger on something that is widely ignored on the Left in the US — that by glorifying women, racial/ethnic minorities, LGBTQ, neurodivergent, differently abled, etc., as members of these categories, we paint an inaccurate picture of humanity. We're not all awesome in everything we do, especially not because we belong to one or more of these arbitrary categories. And neither are white men all horrible in everything they do because they're white men. We lose sight of the reality that we're all just people, all of us flawed, all of us dealing with difficult emotions and traumatic pasts, all of us feeling some amount of insecurity about the present and future. Some of us have more skills than others, some of us were luckier than others, and so forth. Some of us are more ethical than others. And power structures are as fucked up regardless of whether the people at the top are a rainbow collection or a monochrome gang.

That is because the Left in the US is actually quite dogmatic - just like the essence of US culture by tradition would get you to think like. Only thinking in absolutes, only thinking in ideological purity, only thinking in "no-one is allowed to deviate from the one true path or we are all doomed to hell! God's punishment will be upon us if we allow it!".
