Beginning
The US entered a war on the legitimate state of Syria they know they can't win.
Why would they otherwise just throw missiles over to an airbase "to change a govenments behavior", when they could have just more than that?

Let's say, I'm in doubt. I see it often enough still that the kind of mindset what war "is supposed to work like", according to Western propagated fantasies, is much less uncommon than one wishes.
Due to the whole propagating of emotional patterns being base to the decisions made in such conflicts, you can easily get people to still believe the common Western version of the events. Just because they have no idea, no awareness of what power game politics is and therefore that it more is comparable to chess than kids bashing themselves in the sandbox.
And because they also have such a lack of knowledge about other countries in the world. This also adds up on it...
For Trump, seeing his reaction now and the way it came, one will be happy if he doesn't make the outrageous step once to throw in a megaton bomb nuclear missile.
