Nach dem dritten Mal nun scheute man doch die öffentliche Blamage und stellte bei Frau Merkels nächster Begrüßungszeremonie sicherheitshalber zwei Stühle auf...
Tja... Mal sehen wie lang die Angelegenheit trotzdessen noch gut geht.
(Irgendwann könnte es ja auch einen Anfall in einer völlig anderen Situation geben oder die Sitzhaltung kann über den bestehenden Zustand auch nicht mehr hinweg täuschen.)

Yeah, I read about her shaking uncontrollably. I would not be able to last that long in such a snake nest. Providing you have some consciousness. And in general it is nerve wracking. Interesting, who is going to be next if something unexpected happens?

Ever since that happened for the first time in public (as she hosted Selenskyj in Berlin) - seriously, one had thought, from all of the old circles of power, Schäuble's the next to give up the ghost. Simply because he's in the age to do so and he's already active in politics for so long (damn, he already sat beside Kohl in the 80s...).
It already was a skilful act to get the ministry of finances out of his hands finally and place him into a position where it's not that bad if he won't come to work again next morning. This could have gone wrong very, VERY badly... And it would have meant the ruin of the EU because everything in Europe meanwhile depends on the German political structures and lobbies.
But they managed that in time and he's still alive and kicking, not seeming to drop dead in forseeable time.

But with that turn in the events... Well...
It would be a little bit of a twist by the devil if it went like he's one to rather outlast her than the other way around.

Well, perhaps there's something in the background not publicly known why she declared "I'm only doing the chancellor for this one last term, after that I'm out of the game" and why she also has no ambitions to occupy a position in the EU.
Doesn't need to be anything bad or fatal, but it may be she gets to feel the cogs of time and decaying health.
