(Auch mal wieder außerhalb der Berge in Mitteleuropa - nach ca. einem Jahrzehnt.)

Snow is only fun when it shows up after a decade. XD Otherwise you get tired of it.

Well, if you had it around you throughout all the year, I think that would be a bit too much...

But, seriously, in general it isn't that bad that it's here for once. All of the snow is frozen water that defrosts later. It's gonna be a nearly normal water cycle for once. - And that water is going to be needed during the summer pretty bad...

By the way, the biggest problem now is much less the snow, but temperatures like in the freezer compartment. -5 to -10°C during the day and even lesser during the night.

Yeah, you are right. If it is cold anyhow the snow is cool. And it is a form of precipitation that is needed. It only becomes a little bit of a problem when it melts and freezes again and becomes slippery otherwise I love when trees are covered in a sort of frost, it looks really beautiful.

Or when many people have already walked through it and it becomes slush that is slowly getting pressed together to ice.
Even with the tread of combat boots you have the trouble to not slip on that.
