Time for another coup d'état
Once in a blue moon Venezuela again, America?
Someone needing money for a budget in shutdown times - or does someone need a scenario at the South border in order to desperately reason his wall project with that?
Okay, let's be fair, let that all be conspiracy theory...
That part of that which is no conspiracy are the prices at the pretrol stations in Europe: From one to the other week, they can climb 15 cents at once back to their high.

If they really do this, their intentions will be very clear.
They're literally spoiling for a fight...
I don't know, somehow this rings a bell to the Ukraine conflict the stirred up.
Only in this case now, it doesn't look so obvious if they're gonna get their way.

Yes, I've heard something in a row and I think they could do what ever they like in South America - it is a long distance for Russian planes to get...

As I know we don't. I personally do not know and Putin is not asking me would we like to have some base at South America. Anyway I think, it is very expensive for Russia to move to the West and what for, to stop the possible local war, to stop USA we could from any point on the world oceans map having the nuclear submarines.

Relationships with Venezuela have quite a bit of tradition meanwhile.

The tradition of our relationship with Cuba and whole South America based at USSR times was meant to be a competitor to USA and Russia now is certainly couldn't afford to be one. We don't have no money no desire.

Well, so it's not the case. Maybe for the better, maybe for worse.

Still though, and that's an observation of many, he doesn't live up his predecessor Chavez. It somehow is the way that he's lesser this fighter type that he was. (Who knows where they would have went under him anyway if he had lived longer? I think you know the conspirational talking that he didn't get cancer for 4 times just from plain accident, he rather was killed. Which isn't so much totally off-track, if one consideres his role in the South American fight against the economical US occupation...)
Maybe this will contribute to the recent situation too.
Err, the circumstance that there are still people that can be considered as "wealthy", which are the regular audience whenever the US tries a new attempt for a putsch, disturbed me a little before too. But I don't know structurally the circumstances of how they got to this supposed "wealth".
On another note, not just that the country is so incredibly dependent on its oil exports, which makes you terribly vulnerable (as the Sauds tried to terminate the oil price a couple of years ago in order to crush the Russian state, it was Venezuela which suffered from this too, as an OPEC member), also in ecological terms it's a catastrophe if a country can't make it to earn foreign currencies other than through selling finite natural resources which won't be dug out under use of environmental-friendly methods.
So to say - a souvereign country must have another source of income in order to keep its structure up and going. Another source than selling natural resources or doing dirty jobs for other countries...
