Indeed they have, but they didn't tell you "oh, meat is bad, mkay" while biology clearly can say humans are omnivores and they can't live their entire lives without eating anything that comes from an animal.
Even the old testament knew "meat power, blood is power", and, as primitive as it was, it had some truth on it.

I think it is after Noah and the gang of animals got of the Ark the rules were established and some foods were declared dirty or something like this. It didn't carry on though as in Islam and Hinduism because those guys won't touch pork or beef even if their life depended on it. Christians on the other hand consume whatever. Except when it's lent. If they start getting picky it is more marketing based rather than any other ideas, I think.

Hi, missed me? I took a break. Some of the population is bored and they invent crap to entertain themselves while the others are over labored. But the idea of propaganda that everyone needs to love each other, well mainly themselves and they come up with things like, "Oh, I am fat but it is not because I overeat like a barn animal, it is because I am gluten intolerant", so I will make my life and others hell trying to get gluten free food. Meanwhile the humanity pretty much relied on grains for many cultures. The same with meat.

But I don't know your work schedule or your other activities, so that you did not find the time or the motivation to lurk around here...

When you regard the crap during these days, it seems like a lot of people have a lot of free time to spend. 'Cause, as I keep saying, from praying, you don't get your stomach filled; also you don't get anything changed in your favor, if you just do pilgrimage to a preacher and assemble in a single spot every week babbling all kinds of nonsense all the time.
As for the food thing, the best position I have once heard about it is: This is mainly a problem existing in countries where you have food oversupply. It's not an issue in countries where the populace is poor and the food scarce.
Actually, thinking back in time, it also was the same here decades ago. Ask everyone who's still alive from those people which survived or were born in the post-WWII years... I don't think they can find much understanding for that. As they were born in a time were meat was an exception, expensive and where you longed for being able to afford it once in while for that reasons.
And why did people long for it? Because they knew, without, you will, sooner or later, experience serious health problems. At least if you do the stunt of totally abandoning eating food from animal sources (like milk, eggs and cheese).
During the war years, everyone struggled for surviving and not starving, and also for not making your teeth fall all out by themselves. So they weren't that picky if it was about food stuff (except for things one individually really couldn't eat because of physical issues).
And it made them survive.

So, what would that be in a situation like that if people started to act like some of that spoiled Westerners from these days? Death the first day it started.

Actually, the environmental reasons those people cite as well as the criticism towards factory farming I can understand and support, but I don't see where it starts to change when I suddenly start to reject all of this. I don't go on existing from nothing, so that's what brings me quickly back to being dependent on that machine. And not everyone's got a farm he can grow everything for his own needs on. Needless to say, electricity needs to be paid too - and not in pigs...
The more I think about and watch it, the more I get to think this topic is also way lot manipulated by outside forces. Why? Because a lot of the answers that people deliver against the ills systematically are wrong from scientifical points. People from former centuries and decades weren't as dumb as Neanderthals, knowledge from these days is based on knowledge from former times, so the basics of these are mainly correct. This whole lot of shit "science found out, the whole branch has bee wrong for decades", I don't think it is real in such an extent as some people want to tell it to you.

Next thing is the ethic beliefs some come up with. Like the "oh, shit, if I eat I kill! No, I don't wanna be a killer!".
Think, we both already had this topic. I think that's touchy-feely thinking that wants to live in its own world, but not in the reality. That's like remaining in the mental state of a little child.
Life is uncomfortable, life is killing and destruction, as well as birth and new beginnings. Who can't handle one part of it, he's not ready for life itself. He denies the essence that life is made of.
Think in that I also already left my position back over here somewhere. I think that a lot of people, especially in those Western states, they're spoiled by a life that doesn't have any real threats for their daily living. They think this is normal, while it actually is the exception. But they go on being angry and shocked about it and traumatized by every little obstacle that crosses their way, instead of realizing the one who thinks the wrong way is actually them.
This kind of humans also is that kind that treats animals equally is if they were humans, although they're often wild and their kernel is to eat, to breed, to defend themselves and their children and to run away from other creatures potentially fatal to them. Although, in other words, these could never behave or think like humans 'cause they've still got a stronger bound to their instincts than humans have it. So to say, these would kill because they're hungry or feel threatened, they didn't even waste a second of though about it whether or not they're allowed to do it. All creatures work by this kernel in their instincts! And some humans already want to come up and tell you you're so much evil if you live like the same?
Nonsense. Nonsense out of fairtales. Or childrens' minds.
But children can't be blamed for it as they still gotta learn what life is like. Those adults can be as they try to do the method "I'm Alice and I hide in my wonderland from this evil, evil, cruel world".

Well, it is nature and I don't know how people would survive without it. It is because people do not have a concept of how things are made, they live in some delusional world where there is an abundance of artificial crap as an alternative and even that is presumably growing on trees and just falling down. Most of the people should work hard for their food and that would probably cure the crazy thoughts in their heads.

Should I be a little evil? That part with working hard already sounds a bit Stalin-esque...

I don't know still how to get that into the heads of these people.
Problem is: They grow and grow into more of them. And militancy seems to be a characteristic of them.
So it's hard as a more basic-thinking individual to resist against them.
And the overall daily propaganda gives fuel to these idiots.
Including, "normal" peoples' mind puts up the accusation towards you to think too conspirational and see too many things in things where there is nothing to see, like a psychotic.
So... One fraction tells you, you're an whatever-ist (from the sphere of Isms), another tells you "don't be ridiculous, those people are just stupid! You see a conspirational system in every cloud!", and you as yourself, you're sometimes not too sure if you should trust all the impressions you have or if you really just interpret stuff into things which is not there.

I don't know I get mad at people too, but when I listen to other people complaining about stupid people I always say it is the environment and society and propaganda, in other words the being affects the stupid people's thinking but of course it is easy to give advice. I'll tell you what: I get really angry with stupid people. I saw some quote, don't remember whose now, but it goes something like, "When you die you won't care, it will only affect people around you. The same with stupidity." Here you go.

I'd also like to think in those cases it's not just that people are stupid that makes them want to stick with their ridiculous beliefs. For that sake, I think I notice too much of the influences going round. But there's a lot of stuff which I can only catch the glimpse of its background and its possible background. Lots of stuff stands, even for me, with a questionmark.
Only in the category of "possible" instead of "varified" or "highly probable". - Just that without the outside saying "Nah, you imagine things!".
How are you supposed to counter plan stupidity, illogical beliefs and small thinking with that? I don't see a possibility...
