You know what’s going to be the biggest factor getting in the way of soothing the extent that climate change will have on this blue sphere here?
The international community outside of the Western countries gives a fuck about so-called “green technologies”. They care more about their own development, which had been kept down for centuries by the plundering of the dominant European and North American countries. And that means, cheap energy accessible to the biggest mass of people and local industries carries more importance than making it as exclusive as it can get through applying complex and expensive technologies in the chain, which the bigger parts of the population in the first world countries are able to afford (in whatever way possible to individuals).
The mindset of the Western world and what they think of as “problems” is so far away from those of the rest of the world - literally elevated thousands of kilometers above the ground, figuratively.

So are many other issues such as that of a cultural nature, for example.
The rest of the world literally doesn’t care about the gender-fantasies of twenty-somethings in the US or Europe and their dreams of deconstructing the biological base of the two sexes. Or about rainbow flags, pride months and loudly celebrating LGBT minority rights like they would be a cure against HIV and cancer altogether (rights which quite a chunk of areas in the world don’t have anyway).
There are way more urgent problems to them than such boredom- and living-in-security-driven ergotherapy of emphasizing things that revolve around the aspect of the anthropocentric worldview to overestimate the social ongoings between humans in a society.

To the rest of the world, the classic aspects of the mindset of the anthropocentric worldview are important: Where do humans get a space to live, a roof over their head, food and water for humans, jobs to earn money and chances to procreate - as well as chances to feed that offspring and raise it into an adult.

If you want to get the rest of the world into the same boat as the culturally loony Western part of the planet, then you first rather need to get them to abandon their part of the anthropocentric worldview, in which all natural resources of the planet exist just to serve and be consumed primarily by humans. - Including your own focus where human business and social interaction still also overshadows everything, beside you talking about “wanting to save the world” and “protecting the environment” (inconsequently).

Yes, I know it. It seems Europe is on the brink like USA is as well. The reason is simple — for hundreds of years Europe and USA were consuming their prosperity for constant stealing money from somewhere else – Africa, South America, Asia and when this opportunity has nearly stopped, nearly because even now USA is pumping oil from Iraq and Syria, for example and many European companies are pumping cheap resources from Africa as well, so USA and EU has gone all-in in anticipation that Russia will be divided very soon as USSR did and prosperity will last for several decades again, so USA was printing money to borrow resources from around the world and EU has started printing money to attract in the poor Eastern countries with inevitable destroying of their post-soviet industries and agricultural sectors... So, now USA and EU has got to a point that printing money is not helping anymore and Russia is never closer to fall to pieces, instead it has got strong as never as economically as military... USA wants WW3 and it is unclear what to do next for Europeans... they willingly had played to make things worse for themselves with all sanctions against Russia and with all late green bullshit when Europe has started to close atomic plants and is starting now to reopen coal industries. So, even when USA is working, as usual, against Europe, pushing it out of cheap Russian resources, promising to sell to Europe the American oil and gas but this is just impossible to bring on the market so much amount of resources in near perspective... So, yes, the problems of Europe are clear and it is clear that the corrupted European officials, like Ursula, are making it worse and worse…

Europe, and especially West Germany, lost their opponent to be competitive with as the Communist block fell.
Before, even them were forced to do a little bit of social democracy and grant social benefits - because there was a competitor right next to them who its people could stare at over the fence and ask their own governments "Why can they have these social comforts? What are they doing right, if they're supposedly economically inferior to us?".
But now, for a little more than 30 years, they don't have to anymore. The competitor is gone, and with him also the reason to afford oneself social "goodies" in the state system.

So to say, if you own the monopoly over the market, people have nobody else to go to, even if you offer them a totally shitty service.

But this way to act, to squeeze every little bit of profit out of people and society without leaving even a few breadcrumbs to them, now it slowly but surely starts to corrode the pillars of the basement of this system.
For example: If you stop investing in a decent public education, available to everyone, and you only fill in the gaps with foreigners lured into your country - sooner or later, there'll be no new markets with foreigners willing to come to your country anymore. All the educated foreigners have come and already keep the system up and running (or they have moved on to a different country with better conditions).
The only source left to find some skilled workers still, would be your own domestic population.
But how to use their manpower for production and the service industry if they're left behind by public school as dumb and unskilled as a loaf of toast?

And this is the point that Western Europe and the US reaches now.
No more feeding without spending money on it possible anymore.

Yes, I agree with you here but don’t forget that Asia has woken up and what this means? It means that Europe, USA and others are in competition with several billions of extremely poor people of Asia, which recently had got all needed industries, technologies, money, resources ,you name it – they had got all they had needed to produce all and twice cheaper. China has no pension and their old guys are living in poverty, needless to mention India and when you or your government decide to buy some product from India you have to think that sooner or later you will live as the middle man at India. It is as simple as that. Americans, maybe are thinking that world war will pull their economy by ears up but not now, not at the times of nuclear power weaponry… So, again, the simple strict logic had told me long ago prepare for more modest life but of course Russians were always surviving – it is kind of our national sport. I can tell you a lot of things happening here as at USSR times as at nineties when my father in law was growing chickens at the garage basement but most of our planet folks are living even worse right now and situation will worsen more with weather problems and constant population growth at equatorial line which is suffering hard from floods and droughts …

Education, yes it suffers at the collective west but we – Russians, it seems has stopped destroying our USSR education system and are trying to get all back…
I have best of best post USSR education for free and I appreciate it very much but nowadays youngsters are not willing to study… they want to play computer all day long and work at a plant. Plus we have hundreds of thousands immigrant or better to say guest workers which are working everywhere for less payments which also is not stimulates youngsters to study and work.
And anyway Russia is such rich country and it is very difficult to suffer here, at least now, from hunger or being extremely poor if you can walk... Today I had bought wheat for my indo ducks by 0.3 Euro per kilogram. My relative had presented me one duck a year ago and now I have thirty ducks and one else is sitting on eggs. I could not work at all but to grow ducks, chickens, breeding bees and so on because there is so many free and cheap land at Russia now and energy is cheap, fertilizers are cheap of course compare them to Europe…

Speaking of education, I caught it recently that Russia, as a result of the ban from the (Western) international community, decided to abandon the standards introduced by the Bolognia process - which introduced the master and bachelor degrees in university education.

Hearing that, I was like "dammit, it wouldn't hurt if they did this here too..." - because I think the copycatting of the American university education standards downgraded the quality of even the former West German academic education.

Ah, and btw - it seems like it's a plague around the world that kids rather want to play with their cell-phones than learning a craft, don't they? (And I thought of my brain being pretty contamined with games and media...)

Yes, we are getting out of many West – Russia programs and education is one, small part of it.
Many military programs, space, trade norms…
If we will cut out the west education system maybe it will make it more difficult for USA to steal our young specialists but we need some much more hard and strong actions to get back on USSR track as in education, science as in industries…

You know - each creature in pairs… World is changing and it is changing fast, youngsters are more progressive in computers and electronics than old guys as I am but we need only to not lose the opportunity of growing up as hundreds years before the best world scientists and of course they shouldn’t play computer games and use a calculator while they are growing or their brain will be something else but brain which could produce new things…

There's already decades of history of computer industry, but up until very recently, until smartphones became a standard gadget, kids who played also had an interest in finding out how all this works that brings them their entertainment. And how you can create something in that sector yourself (either in software or hardware).
Dammit, I even know, as Commodore was still on the market and computers still were complicated enough to keep the stupid spirits away, but leave the smart ones possibilities to easily produce something home-brew, kids didn't just stay consumer gamers, but tried to become coders, musicians and crack-programmers! Some people who programmed cracks and cracktros to deactivate a copy-protection in the 90s were still just teens!
And today it's the competition "whose thumb is as strong to pull a bus"... Plain consuming. Fiddling with their phones all over the day.

There are many real serious people in Russia which don’t see no problem in computerization… they are saying that all this games things could be used for teaching, training and so on. Plus it is a new world with much more higher speeds and brains of children don’t want to get back to the stone age playing in wooden cubes or something… We need a balance everywhere...

Speaking from the point of neuronal development (how a brain wires itself internally and how brain structures come into existing), this playing around with computers most of the time since a very young age is highly toxic for the brain. Because the kids don't do other activities instead which would demand all of their 5 senses.
Input via all the 5 senses is what makes cognitive intelligence come into existing at all and then keeps feeding it, making it grow.
The computers are like an impoverished environment to learn things in - and that's why later they're so dumb, naive and immature as personalities as one already experiences it these days.

Well, yes, there is nothing to speak about here – to sit before the computer all day long is very harmful as for brain as for body but in Russia is prohibited to not let children to go to school and our primary school system is still working. So, our children are not that much useless as they could be and again, it is in our parents strengths to stop using phones at school at all…
I am afraid more about the modern Western youngsters, which when they leave the primary school and are getting free to take their own decisions, are getting fast an addiction to weeds (as a better scenario), getting more easy work to do without any brain activity and as a routine on an everyday basis - after working day are sitting at home before a monitor smoking drugs – all what school has given to their brains could disappear in several years… Look how American youngsters – the country which was long very loyal to drugs and had been legalizing drugs recently, so how youngsters of USA are dumb at masses… it is an unbelievable work to produce such stupid idiots when you have TV and Internet and you are free to educate yourself… Just compare nowadays information access situation to some times hundreds years ago, for example, people were not having books and had not ability to read and anyway, here we are…

Yes, of course, I have to think about myself first but anyway, when I am watching some USA interviews where young strangers are asked different simple question, I always wonder – what the heck with you people…

Over here, there is a formal duty to send you kids to school too, for a least 9 or 10 years (back when I was still in school it was 9 years, now it might have increased for an additional year because there's barely any use in the economy for people who have only their school certificate from the 9th grade. - But, mind you, education is a matter of the federal states here, so things can vary from Bundesland to Bundesland. And - 9/10 years of school don't have to mean you leave school with a graduation certificate. It only says "9/10 years of school", not that these must have been enough to get you into a year where graduation takes place.)

But, in the previous years, the agenda of "digitization" (Digitalisierung) more and more forces its ways into school, so that even school kids more have to do with computers than without - and guess what happens if you have kids who know how to play with a device, but the teacher is as digitally competent as a loaf of toast... Nothing good results from that.
Additionally, parents who have done their best effort to keep their children away from media and playing up until this point, their work gets thrown into the trash can.
Needless to say - teens/youngsters who have no interest in all that computerized stuff, maybe are from a rural area and enjoy their environment full of nature, those are fucked too. Because they have to deal with something in order for good grades which naturally isn't something they're good at and neither want to be good at.

Just saying - I remember, the last 2 years of high school, where they handed out a special calculator with graphics display capabilities on loan to all the students in these last two (senior) years because it was mandatory. (It was exactly this thing here: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00012BF9M/)
In the end, a lot of students had many kinds of games from about the Gameboy area on it. Snake, Super Marioa, Tetris... (Mine only contained Tetris.) As the graphic capabilities of the machine were ca. at the height of the Gameboy.
And that already was as much as 15 years ago, even before smartphones existed.
...That's what I would think also happened if students get a lot of tablet computers and laptops from their school as "material needed for the classes".

I think there already were some other people which put it pretty nicely: Humans have all the types of different technology to become professors, each of them, but, through the wrong style they're using these technologies, they make it to degrade themselves to the cognitive niveau of apes.
