Well, if there weren't any of those acts, then we'd already in a civilization worse than the animal world (meaning in brutality)... But still, everything's interconnected. One cannot wonder about why people become such little pussies, getting on your nerves, stabbing you in the back and being the best cowards ever. If that kind of behavior is better honored and rewarded than trying the honest way or being better in a competition than someone else by own skills, then this is a logical consequence that latter behavior slowly but surely gets abandoned for the most part.
