Policed freedom

What reality developed into maybe is a much worse picture of dystopia than anyone who ever tried his hand at drawing it imagined: Nearly everything is free to access, but making use of that opportunity may end you up with any kind of punishment.
Because there are many things considered as “undesired” even though and because there is quite a bunch of things out there which makes a paranoid sensitive fragile security apparatus shiver with fear for no solid reason.
