Saying, I know enough about communication only in written form that you don't have the given information which somebody puts his emphasis on in a sentence of context. But that for, I use the html-terms for marking something as cursive or fat (depending on what a blog allows or executes correctly), I know them in my head, it's no big deal. With that marks in layout that are possible in writing, I sometimes think like "Did you even notice where I put the emphasis on?". You know, I don't do this for nothing or because so I'm bored. To me it seems like people don't notice, for real. Or, I don't know, if they think I do this for "alibi reasons", to pull my head out of the sling for the public that I don't have anything bad in mind while I actually have (in their imagination).
See, I have this in mind and try to keep that in the back of my head while writing anything to secure myself against gross misunderstandings - and even though I rather mostly get confronted with peoples' associations to a word, even though I try to be exact and general in my picking of words.
