About losing all the smart people you're right... Either one loses them to the madness, or to nature itself through death. And one worries who should fill in to that gaps 'cause you don't really find anyone fitting in and living up to that expectations.

What way they're heading to is, in general, pretty hard to detect as neutral media news are scarce or at least you need to read special media that care about the South American area. Which makes an extra way, if your schedule in life already is full enough...
