Well, it's double standards too. If it is in the interest of the ruling class, it is fine but if it is not then looking at something the wrong way would be considered radical.
Admittedly, that's just like this ruling system. If extremism delivers its rulers what they want - doesn't matter if full blown fascism, racism, sexism, theocracy -, then it's able to turn a blind eye and let that little circumstance disappear under the carpet of history. Like "oh, it wasn't so bad, really!". But if it's extremism that fights in some cause for anything of the common people, then extremism is bad again and all need to be well-behaved suddenly 'cause - extremists, those are barbarians with a stone-age mace... And if you follow extremism yourself all the time, making the growth of money matter more than human life - no that's no extremism, this is only the natural of the most natural processes! Don't you do that yourself everyday? (Uh, no, 'cause we got no millions to shovel on another pile.)
You know, 'cause of that, nobody shall make me seriously believe anything about extremism in that point. 'Cause - what do they call "extremism"? Anything already that's a little serious about its business. Speaking: I know to call it like that when communicating by people, to give them an overview how much in the spectrum anything is from what most people know, but I seriously miss what's supposed to be so "extreme" about it. Saying, for example, cutting yourself is extreme. But, seeing over the years how many people secretly do it, how many people also seemingly struggle with their lives mentally, it makes me ask how really "extreme" it is, when it seems to be so common if you look into the closets of people? How much shall truly I apply the "monster"-tag to it? Not even counting, how many people also have different kinds of self-hurt - one group of them uses razors, the other chronically drinks too much alcohol or steadily gets into fights because they want the feeling of getting beaten up? How much fucking "extreme" is that, if you find one in three people who do anything like that?! That's bullshit. (People who are shocked by this, those rather live under a cheese cover and are kept in an idyllic world image for kids.)
