Imagine the world as an endless building that constantly keeps building up, piling up bricks and building material.
Simple structures make the start, but turn to complex systems over time.
And even complex systems develop many branches that are hardly to survey anytime.
Experience gathers, information gathers, memories (both silent and actively present) gather.
That's why this process keeps happening...
Until someone might give it a closure through total destruction of everything that commits this process.
Everyone who would want to make an attempt for a change to human civilization or his own cultural norms should better regard it like that 'cause that's why past things and circumstances can't be reconstructed and rebuild the same way they once used to be. Ideological purity as desired can't be maintained over all epochs - simply because things keep changing. New things add, some things drop from the boat.
Purity would mean to regard these innovations with a mindset that doesn't suit making a judgment over these things, that's completely unable to do so, or it would mean to totally ignore it and by that ignoring the signs of the time, changes inside the building that constantly piles up.
So to say, it would mean to try to conserve a construct of circumstances and influences for all eternity, which isn't possible in a world that's subject and slave to a circle consisting of birth and death.
People that are responsible for the world of yesterday won't naturally exist forever, so their world and thoughts on it don't do so too. So also purity can't be maintained forever.
Wake thought and mind is what better controls the stream of ideology - 'cause it makes ideology keeping up to date with problems that appear and with developments that unfold.
This doesn't even mean a betrayal to a cause or club 'cause as long as the general path, the general thinking pattern, remains the same structure, it isn't like someone has left the path he has assigned himself to before. He just bows down to the process of how things work in general: A building that constantly keeps piling up, creating new structures here and there, dropping old styles, not continuing some of these new branches, continuing some of the old ones with new components.

Date: 21 April 2018 05:17 pm (UTC)The times of purity may have been great and felt good, but what once broke into pieces, you can't revert that process, as sadly as it is.
But, what you also have to direct your eyes at is: Don't come round the corner with old schemes of who belongs to which group and what to do to act against a certain thing from the last century. Both won't be able to match the living materia anymore during these days. As things have progressed and become more complex...
To demonstrate it with an example: Recently saw something about that Beate Klarsfeld once boxed a bigwig on the ear in public during some event, repeatedly shouting "Nazi! Nazi!" at him.
I didn't know about that (as so often with events too long ago before my birth...)...
The reason she did this was - the person she did this to really was a Nazi war criminal. One of those many people which ended up in high positions in politics again after the war, punished pretty mildly for the guilt they had loaded upon their shoulders before...
She did this as an official branding - first, of that person itself, and then, second, to speak up for others which also knew the same people which observed the killing of thousands of people a little more than 20 years ago back then already again sat in important positions of state politics, just like nothing ever happened, and the West German state literally let them be free men.
You can say... Even if it was a foolish act (but she also did other meaningful work in tracing down Nazi war criminals, also some really famous ones which disappeared to South America), still the intention and what it wanted to say for everyone in public, it had some meaning. It was about something.
Not like much of the radical activism these days where you fail to catch what it actually is about with that action.
Many of those tend to see Nazis only in the rows of the AfD party today, but nowhere else. They act according to old schemes - or, better say, according to schemes that media and stupid manipulating gurus tell them.
Also, they don't even see the plank in their own eyes how much of formerly Nazi tactics they copy themselves in the name of their own ideology. Like - shouting people down, when they don't like their opinion, throwing stones, occupying coal power plants and damaging stuff. Showing an attitude of "we're the right path and everyone who doesn't follow us is an enemy to a better world!".
What mainly their problem is: They think in enemy schemes which seem like outdated. They don't get to make the conclusion: What makes the Nazi? The swastika or his attitude?
Their kind thinks it's the first thing - and they unconditionally stay with believing this. Pointing them at this, also in their own construct of things, is like taking away the promise of paradise after death for people who have nothing else in positive things to look forward to.
So they work hard to defend it, even though it's factually wrong and they maybe even know that...
But still, from the factual point of view, activism needs to upgrade its own thinking patterns. Locate problems where they are instead of seeing them only where their ideology wants to see them.
And this is a result of what I described in the entry here...
Things don't stay the same over time, they tend to evolve and become more complex.
