Yep, the first wares are there already. Although, that's only lebkuchen and stollen until now. Could only get a chocolate Santa Claus in one chain of stores this weekend - the usual sweets stuff hasn't emerged yet...
Well, you know, in which way this is also bizarre? When Oktoberfest starts, the different chains of stores have all kinds of typical Oktoberfest wares in them, and the Christmas stuff already arrives in the stores by September 1st, while these wares haven't been there yet (or they're currently there). Christmas greetings sooner than signs of Oktoberfest being on - this is really a paradox. (Although this also steps on your nerves - as whole Germany isn't like Bavaria. The Northern lights here give a fuck about fish, not about Weißwurst.)
