Strange with photographs it is these days: They look like being made only yesterday, although factually they're already years old. The content they show, for long, is true no more...
Oh, sorry pal. I was thinking nothing wrong or aggressive actually... I am as a weak amateur of photography was just interested what photos you imagine when are feeling that they are old...
Wait, are you trying to say, that nothing is changing? I never looked into it and probably would not notice anything dramatic, may be couple more shipping centers or banks but nothing that would show the improvement in quality of life. Not like "Back to future" for example that pictured flying cars which is not the most progressive thing anyways because of the limited resources. I would rather imagine super speed public transportation as something progressive providing it is affordable. Because the douche bag Elon Musk was proposing something like that except it would be inaccessible to anyone without money so in the end would be luxury like state of the art medical care that only super rich can afford.
No, it was meant like posing the question "that all changed meanwhile??". Really, photographs of past times, always they have something on them that you can recognize "okay, this has been at least this many years ago". But ones from the more recent years, I feel like it doesn't reflect that so much anymore. If someone tells you this or that thing shown in a particular photograph doesn't exist anymore, or people look completely different these days than in there (maybe they've simply become adults), it is like... a big "er, whaaat?!". They look like being made just yesterday and not like 10 years ago or so.
But I don't know if that's just something from my brain or if others experience similar a impression...
Sometimes I don't know how to treat such thoughts... Is it me growing old - or is it simply sometimes that too much changes and lesser and lesser time?
Really difficult it is with people. There you can't deny time that has passed. Simply because they already look much different than when you saw them the last time if that "last time seen" has been many years ago.
