Return to the gulf

The new campaign against Iran kind of leaves the impression like there's an unconditional need for the US to finally win a conflict again and push their interests through (after the several failed military campaigns, economic war attempts and coups d'état). Maybe even - or only - to achieve a second term for a president called Trump.

I mean great intentions but as usual not going to solve anything. What are people going to do without electricity? Make fire? Again trying to solve the problem from the wrong end. Although, they might slightly fix their dirty practices in the interim although I doubt because they need tons of energy to produce their junk. Probably will make ordinary folks save energy as usual.

It's somehow the own juice "hippies want to steal your electricity that's a scaremonger from old times!" like always in West German thinking. Either you're pro or against this - the usual game in thought (pretty simple-minded, isn't it?).
Well, let's speak independent of this: 1) I think so too that this doesn't lead to anything as electricity for their wealthy life and their pompous production doesn't rain from the sky.
And 2) If the coal isn't dug out of the earth here, then it comes from somewhere else in the world for less cash. That's their way of going "climate-neutral" here.
As the last coal mine was closed in the Ruhr area, a few months ago, this is what they mentioned besides - coal won't come from there anymore, it'll be imported from Brazil for less pay.
Simple as that.
And then they still stand there celebrating themselves over "getting less dirty for environment"... It's a full farce.
And some thing I think about their making a fuss about the brown coal here. It's not the medium itself that's "evil", it's a question of how to use it. Strategy.
For example, there's no need of building a power plant operating with coal if you can have a dam instead.
Or, like the case Leipzig Lippendorf - if you already have a coal power plant producing a lot of warmth besides the electricity, use this for heating too during the cold seasons. (Instead, they want to build a gas-driven power plant now in the coming years.)

Date: 24 June 2019 06:50 pm (UTC)And because there have been some old grumps decades before which denounced these, all critics to their dreamery gets smashed in a blow because "you're simply one who falls for the lies of these old geezers"...
Well, talking about "the cinema in one's own head" vs. reality and self-evidences in thought.
