Here, with the war in Ukraine active soon-to-be for half a year, the world is still waiting for Russia to collapse under the consequences of that decision.
Instead consumer prices exploded around the world, certain goods have become even rarer than before after the slight relief of the global economy from Covid-19, and food supplies and heating have become not safe (the latter - let alone how much it will cost in the end and if you can afford it, if your wallet’s budget is tight).

May it not be that the community of the so-called “Western states” miscalculated in a very high degree in this issue?

Hm, well, I don't know what part of the world you're living in... The folks from America seem to take this issue more lightly, and they voice the greater logical bullshit because they have no idea about Europe and individual countries of it.
Well, except for high gasoline prices, their lives are in a relatively good safe distance. They don't need to fear about their heating in winter.

Gas prices are bad in the US, too! I don't drive so... it's not an issue to me .

The prices have become bad, but I've heard nothing about it yet that the US rotates around ideas like here - ideas of "saving" and "using less" of those materials.
You can buy them for a high price, but still you can get them.
Unlike if you can come up with how much money you want, you gonna get none.

That's because, currently, we have fuel. We are in the process, of going too electric.

Hm, okay, maybe the US has a different starting point in that (in general or selected states of them).

Though, covering it all with electricity is not going to solve that problem in the long term.
First, as the worldwide atomic industry depends on Russian fuel rods, and second - because all electricity has to be generated first in order to consume it.
And in that point, the US is worse off than Europe in terms of renewable energies, so they can expected to generate that energy via fossil energy carriers. Ending up needing gas, natural gas, old and coal even though.

And, speaking from the side of technical aspects - if wanting to do the same with electric energy as you did by using fossil fuels, you've got to generate a lot of electric energy to make it that far. There's so much energy pressed and conserved in just a few bits of fossil energy carriers, it's insane!
If wanting to do heating with it, it's the worst. 'Cause heat is actually just a side effect of consumption of electric energy. Something which you cannot avoid to produce along with using it.
And all electrical circles don't really like heat.
So, using them to generate it intentionally this way is actually rather harmful to the media you use for producing the product.

This whole thing is so retarded. I can't believe anyone gives a shit...much less, wants to sacrifice for Ukraine.

This is pointing to the failure of globalization. It's the same with cash vs. plastic. If you have to rely on someone else (e.g., the food, fuel, or money is not in your own hands), you are fucked. Produce locally, folks!

That anyone in the Western world actually gives a shit who didn't know until recently where the heck Ukraine is even placed in the world, it practically shows the focus of the media they consume and that whoever the lords of those are, they're knee-deep involved in this shit.
Because every other conflict in the world that has very limited impact on the Western world and its supply chains, these media don't give a damn about and just report on it here and there between the side notes.

However, how much the world depends on Ukrainian grain and edible oil, I don't know myself.
And - guess, you can maybe estimate how much I shake my head about it becuase of the illogic.

But well... The years since the last US fincial crisis have showed quite a lot: The old communists didn't lie about how the Western capitalist world works like.
Only nobody wanted to believe it and just focused on the emotional agitative tone they told it with.
Today you can read all this stuff in books, freely accessible even on the Western market, or in magazines and internet outlets who professionally deal with pieces of information about the economy. Partly you can/could (in the past) even learn that knowledge in Western schools.

The western world miscalculated the obvious.
The idea of functioning sanctions never worked - neither south africa stopped the apartheid, nor did Iran or north korea changed their regime.
And in case of russia it was obvious that our dependancy from fuel and gas would surpass the damage we do by not delivering any goods produced from russian ressources. Actually and as a matter of fact russian economy profits from the sanctions while we suffer inflation and economic downgrowth
stupid politicians! Biden insisted not to defend the ukraine in case it would be attacked just to get bad conscience after russia really did attack and now ruins the western world in a pointless attempt to make it forget this failure

Just saying: A logistics specialist would have known right away that sanctions are a futile action that only comes back as an even more sharper boomerang than he sent it out.
'Cause - everyone who has some serious idea about "globalization", they know how interconnected the world is and how much the Western world depends on imports from everywhere and nowhere around the world.
So, cutting such ties off only results in a big backlash for oneself - especially if doing that with a huge country like Russia.
Russia isn't Iraq, Afghanistan or Iran, which is in the range of the affordable damages to oneself (because it's low).

By the way, how much Biden Sr. still might have probable intersections with the business in Ukraine, I still can't put it off my inner tab, if that might be a factor too in this issue now.
I haven't forgotten how his son was involved in that firm which wanted to do fracking in Donbasss (I know that since 2014), and judging by how much cronyism runs family- and blood-related in the US, it's totally thinkable that he might have given some support there in order to acutally acquire that position.
Regarding the stories that are told based on what could be found on the mysterious, but verified laptop of his that he forgot to fetch, if some of that is true, Biden Junior must actually be a human wreck, emotionally. Even the more back then.
And you can make your guess, if emotional wrecks who are junkies are able to administrate a position in a high economic bord...
