Any party going through with either their plans or already having banned imports of Russian oil and gas and replacing it with liquefied petroleum gas from the US - offically call their agenda to "fight climate change" broke and dishonest (if it ever even officially existed at all).
Because transporting LPG with tankers over half of the globe, burning fuel to deliver fuel, there's nothing more harmful to the world climate than this in this aspect of the economy and regarding general supply with common contemporary energy carriers.
Not even talking about needing to make the energy-intensive efforts to first liquefy the gas to transport it and then turn it into gas again, sacrificing additional amounts of energy, when it's reached its destination. And the terminals that have to be specifically created and built in order to execute both jobs.

It is as it has always been: If some figure with a popular name and/or executive power in its hands shows up in TV or other mainstream mass media presenting a story with an emotionally heavily loaded tone, it's time to get skeptic.
'Cause never has this story that the person comes up with truly been as it is presented.

After a failed attempt to pull Russia into a war with Ukraine again for the millionth time (the so-called "invasion plans" from December) since the coup d'etat in 2014 and a failed attempt to overthrow the government in Belarus in 2020, the full-grown violence in Kazakhstan now is supposed to be an act of "accident" or honestly result from domestic issues?
This big picture that you get see rather looks like the so-called "orange peel strategy" ("Orangenschalen-Strategie") that already the German Kaiser William II tried to use in order to weaken the Russian Empire, win on the Eastern front in WWI and gain control over Russian territories. - Breaking border territories away from the core empire, like peeling an orange, in order to receive the rich essence lying in the main land.

All three countries used to be and/or are important partners to Russia, in two of them have violent riots taken place over the years with verifiable moral, media, material and financial support of West European countries and the United States.

"Evil to him who evil thinks" if you scratch your head and wonder why, of all places on the earth who are plagued with inner conflicts (which is practically every country by now due to the enemyship against the Covid measures by a growingly radical and violent minority of the population; or take the 1-year-anniversary of the storming of United States Capitol in mind), such coordinated violent actions happen in Kazakhstan - and not in, like, some Western country?

Modern protectors of the traditional family and marriage and anti-gay hillbillies in Россия - you remember these two? These came from your country!
Even the marketing image came from your circle and was exported into the whole world without change!

So don’t tell anyone nonsense that now you suddenly care so much about culture, about family, children and what not!
What you’re at war with is American propaganda and mindset - because people get stupid from it!
And the country itself as well because it started war against you one more time!

And you folks in the West, crying about “(in)visibility of marginalized groups” and all that crap - take this as one of many proofs what kinda class clowns you truly are! We already had all this before, you don’t reinvent the wheel now!

You call yourselves “Millennials” just because you were born at the millennium.
This comes, with greetings to your naivety, from folks who have actually seen it!

The path of the warrior can be quite dreadful.
You see a lot of ugly things, experience a lot of betrayal, witness many changes and storms, and you get to feel humans from their various sides. Positive and negative.
Also... you lose a lot of comrades along the way.
People who fight with you for a similar objective or believe in the word you spread, whether they do that for virtuous reasons or for the same shady ones that originally brought you to the battlefield.
They die in battle, they change sides, they split off from your horde because you don’t fight for the right subjects anymore, or they leave because they themselves have abandoned the path of honesty, or they get so severely wounded during the war, so that they can’t go on with the road they have chosen. Also, they might meet a guy/girl in between and settle down because that fulfills them with something that feels larger than continuing a fight whose end cannot be foreseen.

Continuously, along the way, depending on how well it goes, how bad the losses are and who leaves you while carrying on, you keep asking yourself the question whether the path is worth it.
Whether the target of the path is truly worth all you sacrifice for it.
Whether the efforts all pay off, judged by the results you get.
And if it’s practically and morally justified what you do.

Weren’t there other means to achieve the same goal - or something comparable?
Was it necessary to agree to such an ascetic lifestyle?
Could the same ideals be won with fewer losses?
Was everything that had to be done, from your point of view, necessary?
And, at all... do you still continue with the path because of the origins you started it with or did your motives change in between - change into something that more has to do with habit and playing a role voluntarily? Because, meanwhile, you know nothing else what to do with your life?

All that for justifying a continuation before yourself and in front of other people who pose that question to you... For telling you, you’re on a path that feels right to you.

Looking down on the graves of those that have been lost during the war - comrades, civilians, enemy soldiers, innocent victims of the violence, children, even villains -, through the many numbers of them, points the fork whether it’s been enough dead people already or whether their deaths shall not have been in vain...

The path of the warrior itself can be the warning memorial to this mass of devastation - to these existences ended, to the lives spun and twisted along it, to human madness and all the worst abilities and character features mankind can display, to the austerity you have to endure and force upon yourself for it, and to the lasting loss of trust other than in yourself.

As much as the Afghanistan war remained an apple of discord throughout the whole time of the 20 years the occupation of the Western troops lasted because of the shady reasons it was started with, it also simultaneously and silently became a train you couldn’t just jump off anymore and quit tomorrow.

Now with their departure, the tactical and political changes of the coming weeks and months will be a proof of that - and, at the same time, it will lay down the sad record of that the two biggest and strongest armies in modern history - the US army + its NATO associates and the Soviet Army - couldn’t rip out the root of exaggerated Islamic religion in this region and create a united country called “Afghanistan” that can claim its rank in the modern world order.
Be that that the religious extremism was just started and about to be strengthened (the Afghanistan war of the Soviet Union) or that it is a result of past foreign engagements gone wrong (the support of the US for the mujaheddin fighters in the 80s to make the Soviet Union fall; the support of the Syrian rebels, which were mostly if not entirely Islamic extremists as well, and by that helping creating the Islamic State, strengthening Islamic religious motivated terrorism and systematic violence on the whole and in the whole Middle East area) and that it outgrows one’s own powers and finances that one was originally willing to sacrifice for this endeavor (the Afghanistan war of the US and the NATO troops that were still deployed there).

It’s hard to guess how much the decay inside these big players make out a share in their respective defeat...
As a question to those two wars you can leave behind if how war itself is being led in these modern times hasn’t changed too much from the scheme of firm organized and equipped armies fighting each other on the battlefield, as it still was the case in WWII and its later offshoots around the world.

For this specific case, you can put on the record - as bitter, brutal and cynical it may sound: As long as the residents of this country who aren’t involved in religious extremism aren’t willing themselves to take a different path, to organize and do something to drive this out of their country, to rip this root of war and violence out in their society once and for all and harshly sanction it, as long as they rather flee abroad or to Europe, giving in to the order that a guerrilla army imposes on them - as long as that remains the case, this country won’t ever be peaceful and “free” again (whatever anyone wants to imagine under the term “free”).

That Afghanistan which even received a seat in the Intercosmos program and could see one of their citizens fly into space to the Mir station will be missing for a very, very long time now...

Actually, the charge of the Capitol is just the tip of the ice berg of a development that's been going on for longer in the United States.
It's an event displaying the deep split within the US society and its political system, as well it's an expression of two very sharply opposing forces which both firmly believe to have found the Holy Grail and be on a mission from the Lord itself, while they're just both streams trying to force their understanding of how the world works upon the rest of the society governed by them.

In other words, to the people lesser educated about the US: Intersectionality is just radical racism and sexism through the backdoor, it doesn't change anything, and violent anti-racist protests and arbitrary juristic accusations against whoever is in the wrong place at the wrong time aren't going to fix your country (neither they bake you a loaf of bread) - just like a drifting back to nostalgia, glorifying golden economic ages which are no more, displaying one's guns in public all the time, disregarding the rules what one's country is made of and governed by, believing in bullshit theories about getting younger and 150 years old through the blood of children, stepping on the lesser financially fortunate and steadily disputing over if the poor deserve to get any handouts like social benefits and a general health insurance (because they're supposedly "of no use to anyone") isn't going to make anything turn to the better.

Each side needs to take a step back from their replacement religion and recognize it for what it is: Something that only takes places in their heads. Imagination.
And then take a precise pragmatic look at what the problems are - facts, not faith.

(It isn't called "theory" for nothing... "Theory" means "explanation pattern lacking scientific proof for it".)

In the case of US society drifting apart and being shortly before fighting each other physically, all supporters of both fractions can take a good look at themselves, if they search someone to blame.
It's your fault altogether!

Just so you heard it for once...

So... Now apparently Sleepy Joe is going to take over the job.

Well, no matter how much it's good news that a president Trump soon is gonna be history - people, please stay with the following: Don't deep-dive in euphoria. Stay realistic.

As Obama was first elected, the hopes and emotions ran high too - and when he left, it ended with a big belly landing in the cold hard reality. He didn't become the messiah that the people who elected him hoped him to be.

So - remember this for this time too.
The biggest argument speaking for Biden, in the end, was that Trump was so terrible.
That's not really an attribute of quality...

(And, not to be left forgotten: The issue of his son Hunter still remains on the table.
It's no secret knowledge that he had a high position in a firm that wanted to do fracking in the Donbass area. This has been public since 2014.
At that time, Biden senior has been vice president of the United States, which heavily supported the central Ukrainian government in Kiev.
Even if he's not guilty of anything illegal, still there are a couple of questions which he better answered, if he wants his presidency to run under the star of a clean slate.)

(This is a text trying to draw back attention to something which has totally dropped into oblivion during all the modern discourse about “gender”, but which once had and still has its legitimation in the spectrum of sex.
It should be also taken as a reminder why slight non-conforming mustn’t be taken as an indicator to being “trans” and having to undergo the way of changing one’s physical appearance in order to get happy again and become able to manage one’s life.)

Addition to this one here: https://matrixmann.dreamwidth.org/262809.html

Since the adoption of John Money’s definition of “gender”, and by that the misconception of mental sex being something that one gets nurtured into, the science about human sex has very much shifted from recognizing different degrees and motivations for sex non-conforming to focusing on transsexuals - people who can’t live with their nature-given physics because their mental sex is psychically wired opposed to that.
This you can even legitimately call “transgender ideology” or “transgender industry” - because, whenever an individual shows behavior and thinking patterns non-conforming with the established figures for “what a man is like” and “what a woman is like” in its respective culture, it doesn’t show accepting of that in the context frame of the person’s original physical and mental sex; it very quickly gets to telling people “you’re “trans””, even if the person in question never even heard of that word before or never considered itself to be “trans”.
In other words: That’s the more formal and more differentiated wording for the modern phenomenon when people appear to “get pressured” into adopting a trans identity and when they undergo reassignment, they find they don’t get happier with their lives.

What happened there exactly is that: Someone who isn’t actually “trans” got pressured (by whatever entities) to feel so because those entities wouldn’t accept him/her in in his/her sex identity, they’d negate it to that individual out of a similarly narrow-minded view about sex which they hold as a reproach against conservatives.
Like “there can’t be a non-alpha-male or even sissy version of a man; if he is, then he’s actually a female” or “there can’t be a butch version of a woman; if she is one, then she’s actually a man”.
Doesn’t that structure of the world sound a little familiar?
Right, many people with a non-average character may know such things as insults from the school yard.
That’s actually also how primitive this way of thinking is.

“Trans” people rather took these “insults”, if they got to hear it back then, as a compliment, and get insane from a modern society that tolerates and even accepts everything, without ever drawing a line where femininity and masculinity begin, always denying them the recognition “okay, here is where one of the two ends, I get it that you’re positioned on the other side of the spectrum”.

But people who instinctively aren’t “trans” or who are still insecure about themselves, about their own personality, for those this way of talking becomes toxic - because they get influenced, talked into and perhaps even pushed into thinking patterns and patterns to feel which they actually originally don’t have. This sends them on an odyssey which is damned to lead them to no additional happiness.

The core point that could help here is remembering that old term called “transvestism”, which hadn’t been coined just for nothing.
“Transvestism” means all people who like to dress and behave like the opposite sex (fully or in parts), but without wanting to modify their body via drastic measures such as surgeries or hormones or feeling instinctively dysphoric about it.
This also includes all people who adopt “parts” in general from the “world” of the opposite sex - like specific pieces of clothes, specific items that one sex tends to use more often than the other, fields of personal interest - and integrate them into their lives without that causing them to feel unwell in their born sex (physically and mentally).
A specific term that was once introduced here in the scientific field was “cross-dressing”, but that just covers only a small field of the entirety. (Especially the forms of cross-dressing that only apply to females, for the most part, don’t get regarded this way anymore these days due to differing cultures having accepted the view of a woman dressed in something else than a dress or skirt - without negating her sex because of that.)

Regarding the current ongoing turmoil in Belarus and, at the same time, trying to find an answer to the most controversial question “Another Maidan or honest upheaval?”, have you paid a little attention to the flags they wave on rallies there? Those white-red-white thingies?

If you just only try to find some pieces of information in Wikipedia in differing languages, you’ll already get smarter on the topic - and that already is enough to leave behind the taste of questionableness in this point:

The flag with white, red and another white horizontal stripe used to be the flag of the Belarussian National/Peoples’ Republic (Белорусской Народной Республики), which existed from March 1918 to February 1919 - the first separate Belarussian state (as it was broken out of the centuries-old group of the Rus).

At the beginning of the 90s, as the Soviet block fell apart, it was re-used again as a national flag from 1991 to 1995 - until the election of still now president Lukashenko.

Now here comes the controversial part, which strangely only the German wiki entry about the flag of Belarus contains a direct hint for: During the German occupation of Belarus in WWII, from December 1943 until April 1945, there was a puppet administration in power called “Weißruthenischer Zentralrat” which also used this white-red-white flag of the first separate Belarussian state.

The Weißruthenischer Zentralrat (orig. Беларуская Цэнтральная Рада) furthermore prompts some more interesting details to the story: After the WWII, some members of this Rada fled abroad (including the president/chairman of the Zentralrat Radaslau Astrouski), founding this organization anew in 1948 in post-war Germany, declaring itself to be the “government in exile” of Belarus.
This lead to an open conflict because there’s been another “Rada of the Belarusian National/Peoples’ Republic” (orig. Рада Беларускай Народнай Рэспублікі, Рада БНР) - the government in exile from 1919.
This organization had moved further West too with the red army continuing westwards, deciding to resume its activity in 1948 in Bavaria (then occupied by American troops).
Due to the latter receiving better support funds from the CIA, the members of the first organization rather joined the Rada BNR if they could, even if the structures of the two continued to exist, with the Weißruthenischer Zentralrat later on joining the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations (orig. Антибольшевистский блок народов), an openly ultra-nationalist organization, containing of several such European groups, whose umbrella can briefly be summarized as “literally a bee hive of staunch Nazis and high office war criminals”.

The Weißruthenischer Zentralrat counts as dissolved since 1995 due the deaths of its last remaining members, however the Rada BNR government in exile group from 1919 is still an active organization, even if just being a side issue. They’re considered the oldest existing government in exile on the earth up to the present day.
Until today, they practice lobbyist activities for Belarus (just as their visions for a “well-being” of the country are like) in the West and maintain and arrange links towards Western governments in favor of their organization’s political goals.

With that whole thread upon the table, it looks very questionable if this current upheaval isn’t just an act of manipulation coming from aboard, if people are waving the flags of a state which they barely got to know because someone told them to do so (technically, Belarussian people can only refer to the state structure from 1991 to 1995; the other is too long ago today to be known by any still living person).
Compare it to a situation as if German people waved flags of the German empire (the famous flag with each a black, a white and a red horizontal stripe, which later became the signal colors of the Third Reich and which can be still a tricky legal issue in today’s Germany), which was abandoned in 1918 due to the Kaiser losing WWI - what state/government are they waving the flags of? What do they associate with it that they want “back”?
If you did this here, you’d be openly put into the drawer “right wing” and “Nazi”, by media as well as society.

So, why is a similar act now in Belarus considered as “fighting for freedom” - even if it’s expressing one’s discontent with a ruler who is in his office for two and a half decade now?
(For example: Merkel rules 15 years now and elections are coming up next year, extending it to 16 years - and if you wave flags from German history that have a questionable or controversial background just to annoy her or anybody from her government, your title “Nazi” and “nationalist” is also as reserved as an Amen at the end of a prayer.)

Or is there something missing on my end as an outsider, which you can only understand if you know about Belarussian culture and local customs?

“Let me tell you something about hate.
If you let it become the golden thread of your life - if you let it take control of you and occupy every corner of your mind, then you’ll get blind to what life has else to offer. There will be no sense left inside of you that knows joy, that knows tears, sadness, relaxation or empathy for anyone. Additionally, everyone around you who doesn’t agree with your stance, you’ll regard them as just another enemy. - Expendable and unworthy of even just breathing.
You gonna be the slave to your hate, serving it like a dark Draconian lord - executing his will blindfold, never questioning his motivations and never questioning the legitimation of his judgment.
Therefore, beware of getting drawn into this dark hole! Untameable wrath coupled with resentment has the power to make you become willing to sacrifice yourself for shit and the life of innocent people - to commit quasi-religious hocus pocus blood-sacrifices just for the sake of a bubble that only exists in your own head and that only matters to you in regard of the course of the world.
In other words: You can hate something as much as you want, still it’s not gonna matter to more than just a few folks at most and guaranteed it’s not gonna make the earth stop spinning. You’re trapped in your own cosmos and you’re still stuck with your personal insignificance to the rest of all existence.”
matrixmann: (Thinking)
A strong disadvantage of long-lasting peace is that, should anything happen which makes this come to an end, barely anybody knows how to fight and drive back the forces who've broke it. Peace has become a divine-given daily self-evidence - and the loss of it marks a huge trauma.
Not just that humans have no mental resources to handle and process that - they'll also be run over by the first and even most ill-equipped gang that comes along the way.
